New Rossi R95 Triple Black Pistol, the compact lever-action gun

The R95, but in a compact “Pistol” format: meet the new R95 Triple Black Pistol, or TBP for short. The latest evolution of Rossi's well-known R95 lever-action platform still features the hammer forged barrel, steel receiver and large loading gate that characterize the rifle version, but now with a short suppressor-ready 13.25”/336 mm barrel and a mare's leg pistol grip, for an overall length of just 588 mm. Four calibers available: .454 Casull, .45-70 Govt., .44 Mag., and .357 Mag.

The new lever-action TBP lineup have a black Cerakote finish for frame and barrel, a paracord-wrapped medium loop, and threaded barrel for the mounting of silencers. Furniture is black as well. Described as a maneuverable and versatile platform ideal for the field or at the range, it maintains the design and practical enhancements of its full-sized counterpart. The difference, of course, is the increased portability, which makes the R95 Triple Black Pistols perfect for backpack carry, vehicle storage or tight maneuvering in dense brush. The weigh – 2,495 g unloaded – also helps making the TBPs very handy firearms.

An integrated top Picatinny rail allows for the mounting of an optic which, considering the TBP's size, will conceivably be a reflex sight.

As mentioned above, four popular chamberings are offered, and for all capacity is 4 rounds. Aesthetically, there are no differences between the different caliber versions, apart from the ejection port which – as can be expected – is noticeably larger in the .45-70 version. All the Rossi Triple Black Pistols come with sling swivel studs placed at the forend front and at the bottom of the pistol grip. Safety is a classic cross bolt type

MSRP in the US on the Rossi R95 Triple Black Pistol series ranges from $1,273.99 for the .357 variant, up to $1,321.99 for the .45-70.
