Gestamen Arms G9 HSP, the striker-fired & hammer-fired modular pistol

... but the Gestamen Arms G9 HSP is distinguished by the possibility of easily changing from striker-fired to hammer-fired mode.

At Enforce TAC 2026 Gestamen Arms presented the new G9 HSP pistol. Chambered in 9x19mm, .40 Smith & Wesson and .45 ACP, this semi-automatic will be available in a compact version with a 3.7-inch (93 mm) barrel and Full size version with a 4.5-inch (114 mm) barrel. To a casual glance, the G9 HSP might appear to be just yet another pistol with polymer frame, interchangeable backstraps and Picatinny rail on the dust cover, designed to the professional security market, and this is partially true. Only that in the G9 HSP it is not only the backstraps that are interchangeable, but also and above all the trigger system. In fact, the user can decide whether to fit the gun with a striker-fired or with a traditional external hammer firing mechanism. Each firing assembly is in turn made up of two elements: a guide that locks into the slide via a lug, and the actual trigger group, which fits into the frame.

The Gestamen Arms G9 HSP deprived of the slide shows an extremely neat interior. The frame is made of fiberglass reinforced polymer.

Replacing the trigger group takes only thirty seconds and is very simple as both components are drop-in. Both trigger groups allow firing in DA/SA action and both have the same pull weight: 5,000 grams in DA and 2,500 in SA. Moreover, the G9HSP pistol has ambidextrous safety and slide stop. The frame-mounted manual safety also doubles as a decocker and the name of the gun's safety system, Triplex, suggests that there is a third safety system in addition to the manual and trigger safety. The stated magazine capacity is 17 rounds in 9mm, 15 rounds in .40 Smith & Wesson and 13 in .45 ACP. The barrel is fluted and the mechanical sights are dovetail-mounted. The Gestamen G9 HSP is optics ready. If it reminds you of the CZ P09, you are not mistaken: not only is the inspiration exactly that, but the Hungarian pistol can be inserted into CZ holsters and uses Glock magazines. We leave you with images of this pistol, which we were allowed to summarily disassemble to show its internal structure. We are sure we will hear more about it in the future.

The gun disassembled into its main components. Note the two assemblies containing the striker and the external hammer respectively, which can be easily swapped.
