The tender for the adoption of a rifle for the Italian State Police snipers ended in success for the Bergamo-based company Victrix. The weapon chosen is in fact the Victrix Gladio PS A1 in .308 Winchester, a top-tier bolt-action rifle, custom-built in record time according to the technical specifications provided by the customer.
The extremely rigorous and selective tender specifications were drawn up taking into account not only the highest technical and quality requirements, but also the current historical context and the possible evolution of future operational scenarios. In a time when threats are multiple and unpredictable, and law enforcement interventions can vary in complexity and nature, it was essential to adopt a weapon system that was reliable, compact, versatile and immediately deployable under any conditions. The Gladio PS A1 successfully passed all the scheduled test phases: more than 8,000 rounds were fired during trials, including inside a climate chamber under extreme environmental conditions, from high to sub-zero temperatures, without compromising precision or mechanical reliability. The system’s compactness was particularly appreciated, making it easy to transport even in non conventional operational settings, ensuring maximum mobility and readiness even in dynamic or urban contexts. The weapon is also equipped with a dedicated muzzle brake, designed and prepared for the use of sound suppression systems, in line with best international practices for protecting the hearing of both operators and surrounding personnel.

The Gladio PS A1 demonstrated outstanding consistency in performance and structural solidity, fully meeting the required standards and confirming the excellence of the project. The management and supply of the aiming system were handled in partnership with Fabbrica d'Armi Beretta, which responded to the specification requirements with competence and timeliness, providing a perfectly integrated solution that meets the operational needs of the various units. The system also includes dedicated optical filters, kill flash devices to reduce visual signature, transport solutions, and a full set of accessories designed for professional-level tactical and precision shooting.
