IWA OutdoorClassics 2026: new firearms and ammo from Day 3

The news early this morning that the US, together with Israel, had attacked Iran unfortunately fit all too well with the theme "IWA VISION Crisis Management," which the Nuremberg arms trade fair had put together this year with lectures, panel discussions, and product demonstrations for visitors. Undeterred, the all4shooters.com/all4hunters.com team explored the halls of the IWA again today to bring you the most interesting products from this year's show. As usual, yesterday’s and the day-before-yesterday’s daily reports, along with links to our social media channels, are included in the final section at the end of this article. Enjoy reading and watching.

IWA OutdoorClassics 2026: Tanfoglio TTR Sniper Rifle, the straight-pull option for long-range shooting

Tanfoglio TTR Sniper Rifle, the straight-pull option for long-range shooting.

Even if not a novelty strictly speaking, the straight-pull TTR Sniper Rifle from Italian manufacturer Tanfoglio seen at IWA 2026 is still impressive. And not only because anyone buying this long-range, full-power rifle will also need a big wallet or the budget of a suitably funded military or law-enforcement procurement unit – at €14,999, it is certainly not a bargain. In return you’re essentially getting two match rifles in one: in addition to the .338 Lapua Magnum barrel, the package includes a conversion barrel in .308 Winchester. That keeps training costs within reason. An ultra-accurate, straight-pull chassis-based sniper rifle, the Tanfoglio TTR Sniper Rifle is a high-end gun. It comes with a folding stock that is AR-platform compatible and fully adjustable for all key settings. Trigger is finely adjustable as well. The 26” or 28” barrel features Tanfoglio's proprietary Multi Radial Rifling. There are two versions: a sand-colored model and a green variant.

IWA OutdoorClassics 2026: KR-Weapons KRW20, semi-automatic modular pistol/rifle in 9mm

The 9mm KRW20 is a semi-automatic firearm of proprietary design and modular construction, available as both a pistol or a rifle, with different barrel lengths.

From Czech manufacturer KR-Weapons, the 9mm KRW20 is a semi-automatic firearm of proprietary design and modular construction. It is fully compatible with AR15 accessories but, more interestingly, it can utilize three different operating systems: a delayed blowback system that reduces felt recoil, simple blowback, or a bolt configuration allowing for manual operation only (straight-pull operation). The KRW20 platform is fully ambidextrous, uses Glock magazines, and features a 45° AR-type rotary safety selector. Receiver is steel, with polymer grip.

Some variants of the KRW20 with different barrel lengths. The bottom gun is the KRW23, a 9mm manually-operated firearm that can use both a standard charging handle or a pump-action mechanism.

The KRW20 pistol It is available in several versions with different barrel lengths (120 mm, 202 mm, 254 mm). There are also KRW 20 semi-automatic rifle variants with barrel lengths of 370 mm, 420 mm or 470 mm, fitted with original AR15 components such as telescopic stock and handguard. Depending on the version and barrel length, weight ranges from 2.2 kg to 3 kg. Different color finishes are available. All versions come with top, side and Picatinny rails for optics/accessories attachment.

IWA OutdoorClassics 2026: Savage: new, more modern features for 110 series, Impulse and Ultralite rifles

Savage's booth at IWA 2026 showcased several variants of the popular Model 110, “the longest continuously produced bolt-action rifle in the world,” as they proudly point out. The Savage 110 family is available in an impressive choice of barrel types and lengths, stock options, left- or right-handed versions (all models) etc, and has received a comprehensive upgrade spanning eleven models. First and foremost, they are now uniformly fitted with new AccuFit V2 synthetic stocks that allow tool-less adjustment of both cheekpiece height and length of pull. The action has also been improved, for example with a dual ejector and a new extractor claw. Savage has moved away from traditional bluing and now often uses rugged DLC (diamond-like carbon) and Cerakote finishes, which also provide better lubricity on the bolt. As for calibers, depending on the model there are up to 34 chamberings, from .204 Ruger up to .450 Bushmaster, also including rimfire models such as the 110 RF Magpul in .22 LR. The latter comes with a 15-round magazine which – thanks to having the same dimensions as its centerfire “big brothers”  – is ideal for cost-effective training. Even the bolt throw can be matched to the length of the centerfire version, or it can remain short – useful, for instance, when hunting predators and wanting a faster cycling.

The Impulse straight-pull bolt-action rifle has also seen upgrades, such as recessed sling swivel studs, allowing the forends to be braced more effectively on a rest. The Ultralite bolt-action rifles, all under 3 kg, likewise received the new stock shapes and variants.

IWA OutdoorClassics 2026: Mauser M17 PA, a pump-action rimfire rifle in AR-style

The Mauser M17 PA is a pump-action rimfire rifle in .22 LR with AR ergonomics.
The Mauser M17 PA is suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters.

At the German Sport Guns (GSG) booth at IWA OutdoorClassics 2026, visitors could see the Mauser M17 PA, a modern rimfire rifle in .22 Long Rifle caliber. Styled similarly to the Mauser M15 semi-automatic rifle platform, it is designed as a pump-action gun for fast, dynamic training with rimfire cartridges and includes typical AR ergonomics such as an adjustable telescoping stock. The hammer-forged barrel barrel is 16.3”/416 mm long, for an overall length of 875 mm (960 mm with extended stock). Manual safety and action/unlock release (for unloading with the safety engaged) are ambidextrous. The ejection pattern is optimized for both right- and left-handed shooters. The rifle is fed from 22-round magazines and comes with an integrated magazine safety. An optional 110-round drum magazine is available. The Mauser M17 PA is already available for an RRP of €549.

Nobel Sport’s Prestige Game cartridges stand out for their Pure biodegradable cardboard wad.

Nobel Sport’s Prestige Game line of hunting cartridges is one of the company’s flagship products. At the heart of the line is the innovative Pure paper wad – a 100% eco-friendly wad made from biodegradable cardboard. Prestige Game shotshells deliver outstanding performance while remaining environmentally responsible, making them a top choice both for walk-up hunting and for driven game in the British style. The Prestige Game cartridge uses a 70 mm (2¾") hull with a 16-mm brass head, and a 32-g lead shot payload with No. 4, No. 5, or No. 6 pellets. Muzzle velocity is 400 m/s. The Prestige Game Steel version is loaded with 29 g of steel shot, in No. 3 or No. 5, with a muzzle velocity of 420 m/s.

Thanks to Nobel Sport Italia, the Maionchi brand returns to gun shops with eight different loads for sport and hunting.

IWA 2026 will likely be remembered as the show of comebacks: thanks to Nobel Sport, the legendary Maionchi brand is once again available on the market. For now, there are eight different 12/70 loads for sport shooting and hunting. The packaging graphics echo the original look of the Italian company. Within the Vintage series, shooters will especially welcome the return of the Maionchi AZ-20, noted for its particularly fast-burning propellant and a 410 m/s muzzle velocity.

IWA OutdoorClassics 2026: CZ 457 Target, full adjustability for ISSF 3-Position Rifle Shooting

A fully adjustable, competition-ready aluminum chassis co-developed with Olympic winner Matt Emmons that can be adjusted to suit shooters of all sizes, ages, and skill levels is the distinguishing feature of the CZ 457 Target, the latest addition to CZ's 457 rimfire rifle family specifically designed for ISSF 3-Position Rifle Shooting. The new .22 LR rifle comes with a three-axis-adjustable pistol grip available in three different sizes to ensures maximum comfort and a firm grasp, while the stock offers a three-axis-adjustable, two-sided cheekpiece with a different shape on each side for optimal cheek weld. An even more flexible side-tiltable buttstock with a five-axis-adjustable buttpad, a three-segment shoulder hook adjustable for shape and tilt and a forehand riser that can be adjusted in three different axes to comfortably position the rifle in your supporting hand complete the very ample adjustment options. IWA OutdoorClassics 2026: Hornady, CIP certification for the .338 ARC is on the way

Hornady is betting heavily on the .338 ARC cartridge, which it already offers in several loadings, while awaiting CIP certification.

The American giant Hornady never sleeps, and at IWA 2026 it showcased the .338 ARC caliber, whose CIP approval is now imminent. Alongside the already well-known subsonic version, Hornady also previewed supersonic variants intended for both hunting and tactical use, with the idea of offering a true “complete package” of loads featuring different bullet types. In terms of characteristics and intended use, the .338 ARC is often compared to the 8.6mm Blackout, but with one significant advantage: it is designed to be used with the AR-15 platform. According to Hornady, both subsonic and supersonic cartridges should operate with similar gas pressures, making it easier to switch from one load to another without major changes to the rifle’s setup.

In the hunting context, tests are currently underway to verify whether – depending on barrel length – it is possible to reach the 2,000-joule threshold at 100 meters, a relevant requirement in several European countries for certain game species. In this case, instrumented data and real-world field results will be decisive. At present, Hornady’s .338 ARC cartridge lineup includes three versions: Sub-X with a 307-grain TAP bullet, Subsonic with a 285-grain FMJ bullet, and Black with a 215-grain FTX bullet. For further details on the new SBR ammunition and on the .338 ARC caliber, you can consult Hornady’s official website.
