Oberland Arms flagship store: a boutique for fans of Black Rifles and tacticool accessories

The opening of the Oberland Arms flagship store attracted a large number of guests, both tradesmen and enthusiasts, who crowded the Klagenfurt boutique throughout the day.

Oberland Arms was founded in 1998 as a small company with a retail shop in Habach, Upper Bavaria. In 2000, they introduced the first OA-15 rifle, and in 2001 they started with the production of the first receivers in Germany. Today they are one of the leading manufacturers of semi-automatic rifles with the Made in Germany quality mark in Europe, a solid reputation for precision and reliability: the result of years spent pursuing excellence in compliance with MIL-Spec standards, using only first-rate components, almost all of which are made in-house and in the few other cases sourced from partners of unquestionable reliability, such as the Lothar Walther Match barrels. In addition, Oberland firearms have a high degree of specialisation, which has resulted in them being chosen by numerous military units and LE agencies around the world for high-profile deployments. Since 2019, throught the company's in-house OA Custom Shop,  Oberland also offers the possibility of requesting exclusive designs, modifications and customizations.

The opening of the Oberland flagship store

28 June 2025 marked another milestone in this exceptional journey of reliability, passion and enthusiasm, with the opening of the brand's first flagship store in the centre of Klagenfurt, Austria. To define it as a shop is reductive: what Matthias Hainich, CEO of Oberland Arms, wanted to create is a boutique that is the dream of any gun enthusiast; a welcoming place, tastefully furnished and characterised by ample display spaces, where the lion's share obviously belongs to the Bavarian brand's rifles, but where one can find much more, from the numerous official accessories to third party brand products, selected with the highest quality in mind. Thus, inside the OA flagship store in addition to the company's own products and those signed by the in-house Custom Shop, you can find AGX Textile clothing, customised Glock and Walther pistols, Triggertech triggers, ballistic protections from Protection Group Denmark, Gatorz glasses and Laco watches.

The next event for enthusiasts will be on 12-13 July in Germany, in Huglfing, at the company's factory, which will once again host the Oberland Convention, an in-house trade fair now in its fourth year which will also be attended by selected external exhibitors related to the gun sector by invitation. Outside the shop was an  Austrian army representative, displaying some of the most interesting weapons.

Thanks to state-of-the-art construction technology, the OA KDA II Titan 3D silencer, available for .223 Rem., .300 BLK and .308 Win., stops the needle on the scale at just 240 grams!
Oberland also offers its own line of optics, including this OA Sharp LVPO 1-8x variable magnification scope, ideal for mounting on an AR-type rifle.
Numerous personalities from our world were present at the event, including the extraordinary Kathrin Glock.
Oberland also makes its own magazines. In addition to the standard 30-round variant, it offers one limited to 10 rounds but with the same dimensions, designed for countries where restrictions apply.
For over ten years, the German manufacturer has had its own line of knives in its catalog, made exclusively in Italy and available directly on the official website.
Of course,  a large section dedicated to clothing and equipment with the Oberland logo could not miss in the flagship store in Klagenfurt.
Inside the shop, you can see some very special pieces of furniture, which many enthusiasts would probably want in their homes.
Among the third-party brands in the new Austrian boutique, all of which have high quality in common, are the ballistic glasses of the American Gatorz.
Matthias Hainich is a great watch enthusiast. We were not surprised to find numerous models of Laco timepieces on display in Klagenfurt.
One of the models that caught our attention the most is certainly this magnificent SPR MK12 MOD 0, which was inspired by the US Navy's special-purpose rifle of the same name.
Oberland has also recently taken up the sporty customisation of Glock pistols again.
Among the services offered by the German company is the application of Cerakote surface coatings, available in many colors
The use of coatings has exponentially expanded the customization options offered by the official Custom Shop.
It is also possible to have Cerakote coatings applied to guns from third-party manufacturers, ending up with very special specimens.
Oberland also works on firearms from other manufacturers. This is the case with this Steyr AUG with unprecedented specifications and equipped with proprietary optics and blast deflector.
Here and there around the new shop you can see some real enthusiast goodies, such as this Corner Shot system, which most have only seen in magazines or films.
