A lightweight, highly adaptable and customizable design for shooters who value simplicity. Savage introduces the RXR22 semi-automatic rifle in .22 LR, a rimfire gun that with an MSRP in the US of $299 (MSRP in the US) can also be described as pretty low cost – which never hurts. As you can expect, intended uses include plinking, small game hunting and rimfire training.
Savage RXR22, 10/22 compatible
Based on a classic blowback action, the new Savage RXR22 offers some interesting features, among them an integral Picatinny rail on top of the polymer receiver for optics and accessory mounting (the rifle comes with no mechanical sights), a 1/2-28 threaded barrel and interchangeable grips for easy customization and ergonomic shooting. It also features an additional front rail in case you want to mount grips, lights, bipods, and any other accessory. The precision button-rifled barrel with recessed target crown is 16.5” long, equal to 419 mm.

Speaking of customization, the RXR22 is compatible with 10/22 components and accessories, which means a smorgasbord of aftermarket magazines, triggers, and barrels that you can simply drop into your rifle to build and adapt it according to your needs. Trigger group is in fact a quick-release type.
The rifle, by the way, comes with a 10-round detachable rotary magazine with polymer body and metal feed lips, and the bolt locks open after last shot. Thanks to interchangeable inserts, the vertical pistol grip is adjustable to fit for shooters of all sizes. A cleaning port in the rear of the receiver allows for easy maintenance. Metal sling studs plus are located under the fore-end tip

The synthetic stock is available in two stock color options, Gun Metal Gray or Flat Dark Earth.
