Savage Model 110 RF: full-size action for rimfire competition and centerfire training

A platform tailored to precision shooters, whether they compete in rimfire matches or want an affordable way to train for centerfire competitions: built around the proven Model 110 action, the new Savage Model 110 RF is a full-size 22 LR rifle that blends centerfire-style dimensions with rimfire efficiency and low ammo cost. Savage offers the rifle in three variantsCore Tactical, Elite Precision, and Magpul – all sharing the same key technical features that include: adjustable AccuTRigger, interchangeable bolt throw length, match-grade Bentz .22 LR chamber, AICS magazine system, and precision button-rifled barrel. Moreover, a one-piece 20 MOA Picatinny rail gives shooters the elevation adjustment needed for optics at extended range, while the 1/2x28 threaded muzzle accommodates suppressors and other muzzle devices.

One of the most interesting solutions is the interchangeable front baffle. The Model 110 action is a front-locking design, and on a centerfire Model 110 the front baffle is directly behind the locking lugs. This piece is what hits the back of the receiver when you cycle your rifle, and it determines the throw length of your bolt. The RF rifles come with a reversible front baffle, which allows bolt throw length to be changed in under 30 seconds. In its longer configuration, the action replicates the stroke of a short-action .308 Winchester, making the rifle especially useful for low-cost positional and manipulation training. Switch to the shorter setting, and the action is optimized for faster cycling in rimfire competition. Feeding is via an L3i 10-round AICS-pattern magazine, while the user-adjustable AccuTrigger provides a clean, crisp release.

As already mentioned, the new 110 RF comes in three variants. Below are the details:
