Developed by IWI to meet the demands of electronics-intensive operations, the IMI BOOST system replaces the need for disposable batteries by delivering continuous, mission-grade power to every energy-dependent device on the rifle.
Integrated directly into the rifle buttstock, the BOOST system does not interfere with the rifle's natural handling, sight picture and overall ergonomics, adding less than 340 grams of weight (less than a 30-round full magazine). It houses a field-replaceable lithium-ion rechargeable battery, supported by an internal backup power bank, ensuring uninterrupted power supply, even if the primary battery is depleted. The result is a 3-5x increase in operational runtime, reducing the number of batteries soldiers have to carry and lightening their overall load.
BOOST supports thermal sights, night vision devices, laser designators and other electronic systems commonly used in the theatre of operation. A plug-and-play harness enables immediate integration with a wide range of optics and accessories. Devices automatically and smartly switch between internal and external power sources, ensuring uninterrupted operation without disrupting the sight picture or requiring operator intervention.
Designed for frontline infantry and special operations forces, BOOST is a complete system that includes the buffer-tube energy assembly, harness cabling, charger and backup battery. Installation can be done at the unit's armory level, requiring no further operator training or changes in field behaviour.
The system is designed to withstand harsh field conditions with military-grade connectors, ruggerized construction and integrated thermal management for operation in extreme temperatures. A built-in failsafe mode ensures that the rifle retains full conventional functionality even if the power system is damaged or completely depleted.
