Blaser R8 Ultimate Silence Blackout: extremely quiet, extremely short barrel

Why the .300 AAC Blackout chambering? The .300 AAC Blackout cartridge is ideal for hunting as well as for training at the shooting range and, above all, perfectly at ease with short barrels.
Blaser's special model optimised for the .300 AAC Blackout is in fact a compact rifle designed for comfortable handling in the hide or on the stalk. At the same time, the construction of the R8 Ultimate Silence is designed to protect the hearing of both hunter and dog thanks to its Integral silencer.
As the manufacturer reminds, another advantage of the .300 AAC Blackout is that the low powder charge and muzzle velocity do not heat up the barrel as quickly, allowing for higher firing rates during shooting practice. In any case, Blaser customers can purchase a spare barrel or a Silence spare barrel with an integrated silencer.
In terms of ergonomics and comfort, the R8 Ultimate Silence has much to offer, too, from the ergonomically designed thumbhole stock to the adjustable recoil pad and recoil absorption system.
With various modular stock options – including an adjustable comb – the rifle can be precisely tailored to individual needs.
