Not just in .45 ACP, and now also integrating the Agency Optic System (AOS): Springfield Armory has just announced the expansion of its Tactical Response Pistol (TRP) lineup by introducing 9mm Luger versions. With precision hand-fitting techniques to optimize both ergonomics and operational reliability, the TRP series is inspired by the Springfield Armory Professional 1911 and is engineered to ensure that each pistol meets stringent quality standards. The TRP AOS is now offered as a classic model with 5-inch barrel and forged steel frame or as a Carry Contour model with 4.25-inch barrel with lightweight forged aluminum alloy frame featuring a bobbed heel (to reduce printing while preserving a full grip profile for comfort and control), both with black or coyote brown Cerakote finish and chambered in 9mm or .45 ACP.
Overall, 8 new TRP AOS models are available – and the good news is that the MSRP in the US is the same for all models: $1,999. The price includes three 9-round magazines for all 9mm models, or three 8-round magazines for the .45 ACP pistols (capacity reduced to 7 rounds for the Carry Contour .45 versions). Springfield Armory TRP AOS pistols, hand-fit precision

Let's delve in some more detail and common features of the new Springfield Armory TRP AOS pistols. Developed with Agency Arms and featuring interchangeable plates with an integrated rear sight, the AOS system is compatible with popular red dot footprints including Trijicon RMR, Shield RMS, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, and Docter, and the integral rear sight on each AOS plate offers proper optic height and intuitive sight picture for a visible co-witness in nearly all optic configurations.

All TRP pistols are built from forged frames and slides for strength and durability, and for enhanced precision, each pair is hand-selected for slide-to-frame fit and numbered to marry them with their matching components throughout the build process.
Controls include and ambidextrous thumb safety and a Gen 2 Speed Trigger, a refined trigger system delivering a crisp break, reduced travel, and an aesthetically polished look.
The skeletonized hammer reduces weight and lock time. All TRP AOS models have forward slide serrations for easier slide manipulation. The 20 LPI checkering on the frontstrap and mainspring housing, together with VZ Grips Hydra Series made from G-10 composite, ensure exceptional grip traction even with wet or gloved hands.
The pistols come factory equipped with tritium three-dot sights; finely machined top slide serrations reduce glare and enhance sight alignment.
The Classic models round off the package with a two-piece magwell to enhances reload speed and consistency (not present on Carry Contour models).
