New P365-XMACRO Teak Grip Module with teak from the USS New Jersey deck

One of the most popular carry pistols combined to a piece of modern US military history: SIG Sauer presents the P365-XMACRO Teak Grip Module by Sharps Bros., whose unique wood grip panels are made from the genuine reclaimed teak wood salvaged directly from the deck of the USS New Jersey (BB-62), one of the most decorated battleships in US Navy history.

Offered as a limited edition, the release of P365-XMACRO Teak Grip Module is also timed to coincide with the celebration of the 250th birthday of the US Navy, which fell on October 13, 2025. Each grip module comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the executive director of Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial.

The USS New Jersey, aka “The Big J.”, is one of the most decorated battleships in US Navy history.

USS New Jersey, "The Big J."

Launched on 7 December 1942 (the first anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor) and commissioned on 23 May 1943, the USS New Jersey (BB-62) is a Iowa-class battleship (the second of four).

Affectionately called “The Big J”, she saw combat in WW2, the Korean War, and was the only US battleship used to provide gunfire support during the Vietnam War, earning 19 battle stars for combat action. Decommissioned in 1991, she is now a museum ship in Camden, New Jersey.

P365-XMACRO Teak Grip Module features

Sharps Bros. have been offering their improved grip modules for SIG P365 (and P320) for some time now. The module itself is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum and has a black Cerakote finish.

The P365-XMACRO Teak Grip Module is compatible with standard P365-XL/XMACRO slides and well-suited for medium or larger hands.

Other features include a machined checkering design for a stronger grip, a trigger guard design with a well-defined undercut for improved comfort and control, a standard 1913 Picatinny accessory rail, and a flared magwell for smooth magazine changes. To aid left- and right-handed shooters with recoil management, Sharps Bros. also integrated a thumb rest – they call it the “Gas Pedal” – on both sides of the frame.

Priced at $349.99, the P365-XMACRO Teak Grip Module is compatible with standard P365-XL/XMACRO slides (3.7-inch). It is slightly wider than traditional grip modules (1.1-inch, or 28 mm) in circumference, with a width of 1.3 inches/33 mm, making it suited for medium or larger hands. Estimated inventory arrival: early November 2025.
