Almost ten years have passed since SIG Sauer introduced the striker-fired P365 in 2017. Over this time, what began as a micro-compact carry gun has evolved into a full ecosystem with variants focused more on recoil behavior, sight recovery, and overall controllability rather than concealability. The latest P365 DH3 family reflects this evolutionary trend, applying a different set of priorities to the P365 formula. The result is a series of pistols that remain recognizably part of the P365 system, but are configured to offer a steadier shooting experience, particularly during faster strings of fire. Three configurations are available, all in 9mm: P365-XF DH3, P365-DH3 AXG and P365 DH3 ROMEO-X SIG-LOC.
The P365 DH3 family
The P365 DH3 project was developed with input from US sport shooter and firearms instructor Daniel Horner – whose initials are at the rear of the pistols' slide – to bridge everyday carry requirements and performance-oriented features. These are not competition pistols in the narrow sense, but they clearly borrow from competition-driven priorities. A key element across the family is the slide-integrated expansion chamber used in combination with a 3.7”/94 mm barrel. From a functional standpoint, this setup is intended to tame muzzle rise and make recoil impulse easier to manage. Also common to the whole family, the flat-faced trigger.
Another defining feature is the use of a coyote-colored MACRO grip module (except in the P365-DH3 AXG configuration, see below). This gives the platform a 17-round flush-fit capacity, compatibility with 21-round steel magazines (10-round compliant options are also available), and a fuller grip surface. The grip module incorporates a 1913 accessory rail, a removable magwell, and interchangeable backstraps in small, medium, and large sizes.
Finished in durable Coyote Cerakote for a distinct appearance, the stainless steel slide includes model-specific serrations and lightening cuts. The slide is optics-ready and cut for the SIG-LOC compact optic footprint, allowing direct mounting of compatible red-dot sights, while X-RAY3 day/night sights remain available for rapid sight acquisition under varying light conditions.
Let’s take a closer look at the different configurations:

P365-XF DH3
This version combines a lightweight full-size format with features derived from competition handgun design and is the most general-purpose configuration in the lineup. It is suited to both concealed carry and regular range use, with the removable magwell allowing the pistol to be set up with either a more compact or more performance-oriented emphasis.
Price in the US is around $920.

P365-DH3 AXG
The AXG version combines the DH3 slide with a Coyote AXG aluminum grip module and interchangeable grip panels. The additional weight of the aluminum frame changes the balance of the pistol and can help reduce perceived movement under recoil, making sight tracking easier for many shooters.
Price in the US is around $1,230.

P365 DH3 ROMEO-X SIG-LOC
This configuration comes factory with the enclosed ROMEO-X SIG-LOC Compact optic already installed. The optic mounts from underneath the slide, creating a particularly secure interface.
The side-mounted battery helps maintain a low deck height and preserves co-witness capability with standard-height iron sights.
Price in the US is around $1,280.
