Some more previews of what we will see at the SHOT Show 2026: SIG Sauer unveils the P211-GT4 and GT5 hammer-fired pistols. Based on SIG’s recently introduced first double-stack 1911 pistol platform, the variants expand the line with a full-size pistol designed for competition and duty/self-defense applications – the GT5 – and a more compact carry model, the GT4, both available with both a black Nitron or Cerakote Coyote finishes.

The new P211s GT4 and GT5 are chambered in 9mm, have a stainless steel SIG-LOC PRO optic-ready slide and come with a straight-pull trigger for a clean and consistent pull, a precision-engineered alloy grip module with G10 grips, fully ambidextrous controls (including the thumb safety), grip safety, and firing pin safety mechanism.
The skeletonized flat blade trigger and aggressive duty-style serrations are further shared features between the two. Frame has a 3-slot accessory rail on the dust cover. Sights are the SIG's familiar XRAY3 day/night front and black rear. Both the P211-GT4 and GT5 ship with one 17-round and two 21-round or three 10-round steel magazines.
That's they have in common: let's see how they differ.
SIG Sauer P211-GT4, the compact carry version

With a compact, non-compensated configuration, the GT4 features a 4.2”/106 mm target-crowned bull barrel paired with a carry-length slide. The P211-GT4 is equipped with a removable low-profile steel magwell that improves reload efficiency without compromising concealability. This, combined with the capacity and performance of a double-stack SAO pistol with the practicality of a 4” slide, makes it the ideal choice for discreet concealed carry. Weight with magazine is 1,176 g.
SIG Sauer P211-GT5, full size for both competition and duty
The P211-GT5 is a full-size pistol intended for duty-grade performance but with competition-level refinement, non-compensated P211 configuration. The target-crowned bull barrel here is 5”/127 mm long, paired with a full-length optic-ready slide, while the steel magwell is removable. The longer barrel and slide provide excellent recoil characteristics and expand the P211’s use in the shooting sports. Weight with magazine is 1,301 g.
