Save the date because the event is one not to be missed: on the first weekend of July, the splendid town of Alghero, in the Italian island of Sardinia, will become the capital of the Sardinian knife. There, at least twenty Masters of the Sardinian Knifemakers Guild will exhibit their works of art, gathered in the shadow of the Sulis Tower (Torre Sulis, in Italian), also known as the Torre dello Sperone (Spur Tower), which was part of the defensive apparatus of the city of Alghero (L'Alguer in Catalan). The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Alghero, the Metropolitan City of Sassari and the Alghero Foundation.
L'Alguer Knives Show: the best of Sardinian knives on display

On Friday 4 and Saturday 5 July 2025 in Alghero, it will be possible to take an evocative journey to discover the Sardinian knife and, above all, the talented craftsmen who today, more than ever before, carry on this tradition with passion and skill. It is also thanks to them that the Sardinian knife has become and continues to be a true symbol of Mediterranean culture, appreciated by collectors in every corner of the world. The Corporazione Sarda Coltellinai (Sardinian Knifemakers Guild) was founded in 2015 in Nuoro on the initiative of twelve masters and aims to protect and safeguard the Sardinian craft knife in full respect of tradition. Today, the Guild has about forty members.
Those who will pass through Alghero on 4 and 5 July 2025 will have the unique opportunity to see a "dream team" of extraordinary craftsmen gathered at the tower: here is the provisional list at the time of publishing the news, in alphabetical order.
