SIG NEXT 2025: Event report with new handguns, rifles and optics from SIG Sauer

Another year has passed, another June, another SIG NEXT! Last year, we reported for the first time on SIG Sauer's new event format with a pilot character. Once again under the motto "Experience the Future of SIG", around 100 invited guests from media representatives, influencers and retailers were present in an international mix to experience SIG Sauer.

The 2025 venue for presentations, team demos and extensive hands-on experience of all products was the legendary, company-owned 58-hectare "SIG Sauer Academy" shooting range in Epping. Two full Range Days provided ample opportunity to experience all the new and existing products in SIG's portfolio in live fire. This included the SIG LMG M250 machine gun in 6.8x51 Hybrid, as well as the MMG in .338 Norma Magnum from its armament division.

Just like last year, SIG Sauer has not held back in 2025 and has presented a whole host of new products. We have summarised everything for you.

Overview: new handguns, rifles, ammunition and optics from SIG Sauer for 2025

1. SIG P211-GTO

As a cross-over, the SIG P211 combines features from different worlds.

The "new kid on the block" in the pistol portfolio with a clear competition orientation.  A crossover model known as the Gran Turismo Omologato, the new P211 combines a classic, double-stack 1911 design with innovative competition features: a high-quality steel frame, a bull 4.4" match barrel with a specially developed "Mach3D" compensator for a 30% recoil reduction, which is manufactured through metal 3D printing. This finds its place at the muzzle of the barrel by means of a pinned bayonet connection. The modular compensator can be exchanged for a barrel weight of the same contour for participation in standard shooting disciplines. The use of standard P320 magazines, the magwell, a clean and consistent SAO match trigger, a 14-cm sight radius and a gun weight of 1.3 kg underline the competition ambitions of the P211 GTO.

The latest addition to the Reserve Collection goes by the name of P320-SXG.

2. SIG P320-SXG Reserve

The new member of the limited Reserve Collection goes by the name of P320-SXG. High-quality full steel frame, elegant high-gloss DLC-coated polished frame and slide, 3.9" barrel length with integrated compensator, GridLOK polished grip panels, a sporty flat-face straight trigger, 15 cm sight radius, a gun weight of 1.31 kg.

... and the SIG P320-MAX TXG are two new competition-ready sporting guns.

Features of the SXG version: massive full steel frame, 5" match barrel, red dot-ready (with no open sights), particularly grippy slide serrations, sporty  flat-blade straight trigger, magwell, ambidextrous  controls, a gun weight of 1.42 kg.

Features of the TXG variant (MAX 2.0): heavy tungsten-infused polymer grip module, 5" match barrel, red dot-ready (with no open sights), particularly grippy slide serrations, sporty flat-blade straight trigger, magwell, ambidextrous controls, a gun weight of 1.24 kg (180 g difference to the SXG variant).

The extension of the innovative chassis system concept to the P365 family with integrated 6" barrel, as well as the slide and fire control unit (FCU) of the P365.

Features: polymer grip module with dual magazine release for up to 46 rounds (where permitted), optic-ready and spring-loaded folding stock as well as 1.4 kg system weight.

7. SIG Sauer Cross Sawtooth bolt-action rifle in 6.5 PRC

For hunting and long range shooting: SIG Sauer Sawtooth in 6.5 PRC.

Expansion of the Short Action bolt-action rifle series with the addition of Hornady's high-performance 6.5 PRC cartridge (we have already explained what is behind ARC, Creedmoor and PRC in our detailed article) for hunting and long-range shooting enthusiasts alike.

Being an AR-10-style rifle, the SIG HYP can be used with the .277 Fury.

9. SIG Sauer HYP, AR-10 style semi-automatic rifle

The first gas-operated rifle based on the AR-10 platform designed for SIG Sauer's .277 Fury high chamber pressure cartridge. Functional components made of steel and therefore more resistant, as well as a chrome-coated, cold-hammer forged barrel enable the use of SIG's 6.8x51mm / .277 Fury hybrid cartridge.

10. SIG Sauer Bravo6T-BDX riflescope

The new simplicity of "Shoot-to-Distance" only requires the target distance to be transferred to the head-up display of the riflescope via the eTRAK dial.

The SIG Sauer Bravo6T-BDX riflescope enables simple "shoot to distance" functionality.

Sig Sauer's "Ballistic Data Exchange" (BDX) thus enters the next evolutionary stage. With the new Bravo6T model series, the improved BDX 2.0 technology is now celebrating its wedding with the 1st focal plane (FFP) reticle and a 35-mm tube diameter. "Dial to Distance" via a head-up display in the upper area of the optic represents the interface to the shooter. The information of the measured/known target distance (with BDX Rangefinder or conventionally lasered) provides the key input via the electronic eTRAK elevation adjustment turret on the top. Further environmental data is incorporated into the ballistic solution using the integrated sensors: temperature, humidity, inclination.

Variants: 3-18x44mm / 5-30x56mm.

Reticle variants: MRAD Milling 2.0 / MRAD Dev-L 2.0 (illuminated).

Latest optics combo: SIG Sauer SIG Sauer Romeo8T-AMR and Juliet3T-ARM.

11. SIG Sauer Romeo8T-AMR & Juliet3T-ARM red dot-magnifier combo

A holographic red dot sight developed for elite soldiers, but also interesting for experienced sport shooters in dynamic multi-range disciplines. The "Automatic Modified Reticle" (AMR) allows the shooter to quickly choose between close and medium range targets. Now with a 40-mm objective lens, but still 30% smaller and lighter than before. We have presented the combo in a separate article, which you can read here at all4shooters.com.

12. SIG Sauer Oscar6 HDX PRO image-stabilised spotting scope

The image stabilisation of the SIG Sauer Oscar6 HDX PRO is claimed to offer impressive performance, even when hand-held.

With the new OmniScan image stabilisation technology in combination with an optical HDX PROTM lens system, impressive image details can be clearly observed even at maximum magnification. The level of optical stabilisation is finely regulated via a digital accelerometer. Whether on land, in the air or at sea, the system provides a clear, steady image. With an ARCA-Swiss base, it can be mounted on tripods. Even as a hand-held monocular for hunting, the spotting scope delivers an impressive performance. It is powered by standard AA batteries for 50 hours of operation. Optic specifications: 16-32x60mm (interchangeable eyepiece for future expansion), 1.57 kg, with a compact length of 29 centimetres.

We are already looking forward to finding out if and when new products from across the "big pond" will be coming to Europe. Of course, we will then provide you with one or two test reports here.

If you are looking for more information on SIG Sauer products, you will find it on the manufacturer's website.
