Shot SHOW 2026: the latest news from the world's largest gun show on all4shooters.com

Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps, is also a major exhibition center and has already hosted the SHOT Show 27 times.

From January 20 to 23, 2026, the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum convention centers in Las Vegas, Nevada, will host the SHOT Show, the world's largest arms trade show. The event, which is not open to the general public and is restricted to members of the shooting, hunting, military and outdoor trade industry, is the culmination of a week in which, from January 18, Las Vegas and its surroundings will be turned into the civilian guns capital of the world, with side events, but no less important, such as Industry Day at the Range, and the Suppliers Showcase, a dedicated event for suppliers of raw materials and services to the industry. The fair is sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association representing the firearms, ammunition and shooting and hunting sports industry in the US.

On the eve of the trade show is Industry Day at the Range, where journalists and bloggers can preview arms, ammunition and accessories.

Of all the side events, the Industry Day at the Range is the one that interests us the most and is the most eagerly awaited of all the events because it consists of a practical test of the new products that will be later exhibited at the show. The shooting range in Boulder City, a few kilometers from Las Vegas, will be entirely dedicated to the presentation and test firing by journalists from all over the world of long guns and handguns in the picturesque setting of the Nevada desert.

As usual, we will attend the events to tell you all about what we will see in the endless aisles of the Las Vegas trade show, which again this year occupies two different sites. Below we tell you some interesting facts about this edition, which promises to be very interesting.

The Las Vegas SHOT Show in figures

The ever-present "Booth Babes" grace some of the SHOT Show stands with their presence.

Although today it would be unimaginable to think of organizing the SHOT Show in a location other than Las Vegas for a whole range of legal and logistical reasons, many people do not remember that the first edition took place in 1979 in St Louis, Missouri, occupied an area of about 500 square meters and had 290 exhibitors. By our standards it would already be a very interesting event, but for the SHOT Show it was only the beginning. For many years, the SHOT Show did not have a permanent venue. Among the most frequently visited venues were Dallas and Houston in Texas, Atlanta, the capital of Georgia, and especially Orlando in Florida, which alternated regularly with Las Vegas until 2010. Since 2011, the trade fair has had its permanent home in Las Vegas.

The total length of the SHOT Show aisles is over 21 km, more than half a marathon.

Today, the SHOT Show occupies an area of more than 77,000 square meters, larger than seven soccer fields and enough to park 2,586 M1 Abrams tanks. Exhibitors at the 2026 edition (including the Suppliers Showcase) will number more than 2,800, from 126 different countries. The total length of the aisles is over 21 km, and again this year more than 60,000 visitors (all trade visitors) will walk through them, of whom more than 2,500 are media representatives.

The SHOT Show and side events on average bring the city of Las Vegas a profit of $88 million (excluding gambling) and create a total turnover of more than $91.6 billion (approximately 79 billion euros) supporting more than 380,000 jobs. The Law Enforcement section, dedicated to LE weapons and equipment, is a rapidly growing thematic section of the SHOT Show. It opened more than 20 years ago, initially covering 650 square meters; today this section occupies more than 15,000 square meters of the exhibition.
