Beretta officially launches the AX800 Suprema, the latest generation semi-automatic hunting shotgun in 12 gauge Supermagnum. Daniele Piva, Vice President Business Commercial Market of Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta, describes the new shotgun as follows: "The AX800 Suprema embodies Beretta's most advanced technology and makes it available to hunters. Our aim was to further improve the performance of our most successful waterfowl hunting shotgun, the A400 Xtreme Plus, so we optimized our gas-operated actions and recoil reduction systems, but above all we applied for the first time to a hunting shotgun with the Steelium Pro barrel of the legendary Beretta DT11 over-and-under shotgun."
"Why a clay target shooting technology applied to a waterfowl gun?" Piva continues. "Because the goal is the same: shoot further, hit harder, increase the chances of hitting the target. Steelium Pro is the barrel behind our Olympic winning streak, with 33 medals won between Rio 2016 and Paris 2024, so we are convinced that the same barrel design will enhance hunters' shooting performance with the AX800 Suprema."
At the heart of the AX800 Suprema is the B-LINK Pro gas system, designed for faster cycling and cleaner operation. It is 36% faster than any other shotgun in the category and 46% cleaner than any other gas system released before. That means softer recoil, more consistent performance and less time cleaning in between hunts.

Paired with Steelium Pro barrels for top terminal energy and tighter, consistent patterns, a Kick-off Pro stock that reduces felt recoil by up to 70% and several easy adjustment options, every feature of the AX800 Suprema is designed for serious hunters who demand the best. Built for all-weather hunting, the AX800 Suprema dominates the toughest situations from the first to the last shot of the season.
Beretta AX800 Suprema main features:

- B-Uffer recoil pad: long-lasting resistance to the toughest conditions and rough handling.
- Interchangeable cheek pad and pistol grip.
- Kick-Off recoil reduction system: up to 70 per cent reduction in recoil, combined with a drop and cast easy adjustment system.
- Adjustable length of pull with Beretta spacers.
- Glass-fiber injected polymer receive: rugged, weatherproof, easy to clean, no oil required
- RDO ready: integrated red dot mount above the action.
- B-Link Pro gas operating system: already 36 per cent faster than its class, now 46 per cent cleaner thanks to redesigned gas ports and a new piston anti-sticking surface.
- Oversized bolt handle and bolt release for intuitive operation.
- Competition pro lifter: remains in a raised position when the bolt is closed, allowing to insert new shells faster and more efficiently.
- Redesigned trigger, crisper pull, faster reset.
- Redesigned contact surface textures on grip and forend.
- B-Lok magazine cap: quick disassembly, easy handling, closure within a 60° rotation.
- 7x7 mm step rib.
- Steelium Pro barrel: extended 450-mm forcing cone for greater terminal energy and consistent accuracy, denser and more uniform patterns, and optimal recoil and muzzle rise reduction.
- Optimachoke HP chokes: made of high-strength steel for unmatched resistance to all types of ammunition, from lead to HP steel.
B-Link Pro gas operating system

The B-Link gas operating system is the heart of every Beretta semi-automatic shotgun, built for hunters who want fast cycling, reliability and robustness in all conditions. Already cycling 36% faster than other semiautomatic shotguns in the category, its precise rotating bolt digests everything, from soft target ammunition to the heaviest Supermagnum cartridges with flawless consistency. Relying on gas-operation, B-Link does not need recoil to reload, and can therefore work with real recoil reduction systems mounted on the gun to provide comfort and stability, such as the Beretta Kick-Off systems.
B-Link Pro went through a redesign of gas ports and the application of a new anti-sticking surface to its piston, resulting in a reduction by 46% of the dirt deposits: more shots, less maintenance, and confidence that the shotgun will run no matter what.
Kick-Off Pro recoil reduction

Designed to withstand the elements and perform to its full potential with supermagnum ammunition, the Beretta Kick-Off Pro stock reduces recoil by up to 70 per cent, to avoid bruising and keep your shotgun more stable without ever losing your line of sight even after many shots.
Hydraulic shock absorbers inside the stock make each shot smoother, reducing muzzle rise and helping to return quickly to the target.
Steelium Pro barrel technology

The AX800 Suprema is equipped with the Steelium Pro barrel, here for the first time applied to a hunting shotgun. The Steelium Pro was born on the Beretta DT11 – the shotgun behind 33 Olympic podium finishes, including the 14 out of 15 clay target medals in Paris 2024.
Steelium Pro barrels come with an elongated 450 mm forcing cone that smoothly drives the shot out of the shotgun muzzle, resulting in a better terminal energy and accuracy, consistently tight, uniform patterns, and superior recoil and muzzle rise mitigation.
The Steelium barrel range is manufactured using an exclusive production process that includes the use of tri-alloy steel from Beretta's proprietary recipe, deep drilling, vacuum distension and cold hammer forging, which guarantees unparalleled accuracy, robustness and concentricity between chamber and barrel.
Technopolymer receiver
Rugged, resistant to the elements and easy to clean, the glass-fiberinjected polymer receiver of the AX800 Suprema is ready to stand the toughest hunting conditions. Its rational, modular design features an integrated red dot mount, ensuring maximum readiness with every configuration. Plus, it doesn’t need oil, that freezes in certain conditions
Superior ergonomics and adaptation
The stock system allows for easy drop and cast adjustment through a single inserts system.

Length of pull is adjustable via Beretta shotgun spacers, while the cheek pad and pistol grip are interchangeable, to adapt the gun to hunters and hands of all sizes.
The polymer receiver and improved configuration allowed Beretta's engineers and designers to work even harder on shape and ergonomics, for revolutionary aesthetics and fit.
All materials and surfaces of the cheek pad, grip and forend have been designed to ensure a secure grip even in the most difficult conditions: freezing cold, water and mud.
Beretta's new recoil pad, B-Uffer, offers unprecedented weather resistance and durability, along with an ergonomic and aggressive design.
The two holes on the rib allow for the mounting of extra accessories. The B-Lok magazine cap is designed so that the shotgun can be readily disassembled and cleaned much faster than before. The cap also ensures complete closure within a 60° rotation, ensuring the easiest manipulation in every situation and condition.
Optimised controls and shooting
The oversized bolt handle and bolt release, as well as the Beretta competition pro-lifter, provide unmatched speed and ease of loading. The elevator remains in a raised position when the bolt is closed, allowing to insert new shells faster and more efficiently
The redesigned trigger shape, with a crisper pull and faster reset, provides outstanding performance for a smoother shooting action.
The color variants that will currently be available on the market are: synthetic black, camo Max-7.
The list price of the AX800 Suprema for the Italian market (VAT included) is: 2,799 euros for the black version, and 3,049 euros for camo version.
