With the CZ 600+ interchangeable barrel system the bolt-action rifle series gets new variants for hunters and sports shooters

In autumn 2024, CZ presented the CZ 600+ bolt-action rifles. The CZ 600+ Ergo Driven Hunt, the first model in the new series, was released just in time for the driven hunt season. In summer 2025, a whole series of new model variants of the CZ 600+ is now following: similar to the previous series without the "+", the CZ 600+ is now also available in the Alpha, American, Ergo, Lux, Range, Trail and two MDT versions. All these models are characterised by the following features.

The most important technical details of the new models in the CZ 600+ bolt action rifle family with interchangeable barrel system

The safety of the hunting CZ 600+ variants moves vertically on the neck of the stock.

Thanks to a user-friendly barrel change system, the hunter or shooter can quickly change the caliber or easily adapt the rifle to specific hunting requirements or sporting disciplines. The hunting versions of the CZ600+ have a patented and easily accessible safety that can be moved vertically on the tang of the stock and can be operated silently. The Trail and MDT versions have an AR-15-style safety selector.

The manufacturer also relies on its own patent for the trigger mechanism and installs an externally adjustable trigger with a total of four selectable trigger pull levels. In the bolt head of the CZ 600+, a short extractor ensures a controlled feed in which the cartridge is held against the bolt face all the way from the magazine to the chamber. This ensures reliable feeding even under extreme conditions. The magazine catch has already been improved on the 600 model so that the magazine can be inserted and securely locked in place with a single hand motion.

The rectangular button in front of the bolt handle on the receiver is used to remove the bolt. The trigger does not need to be manipulatd to remove the bolt.

The receiver of the CZ 600+ has an integrated Weaver rail for optic mounting, whereby a 60-degree bolt throw enables quick and easy operation without the risk of hitting the eyepiece of the riflescope with the hand. The bolt itself can be safely removed by pressing  spring-loaded button on the right side of the receiver without manipulating the trigger. CZ uses durable duralumin or steel for the receiver and guarantees a service life of at least 20,000 rounds in both cases.

When it comes to accuracy, CZ promises 3-shot groupings of less than 3 MOA (1 MOA = 2.91 cm at 100 m) for the Alpha, American, Ergo and Lux variants with match-grade factory ammunition. For the CZ 600+ Range and MDT versions, the manufacturer even guarantees values of 0.75 MOA for 5-shot groups. In the Trail version, the 2 MOA limit is to be maintained for 3-shot groups with the .300 ACC Blackout and for 5-shot groups with the .223 Remington and the 7.62x39. CZ gives a lifetime guarantee on the cold-hammer forged barrels. All barrels for the CZ 600+ have a muzzle thread as standard and are length-optimised for the respective caliber.

CZ 600+ Lux: Here CZ has reinterpreted the traditional European hunting rifle. The stock featuring a pig's back and a kind of stylishly designed Bavarian cheekpiece is made of walnut. The open sights are complemented by high-visibility fiber optic inserts and the receiver takes up the shape of the Remington 700.
CZ 600+ Ergo: Ergonomics and ease of use clearly take center stage in this variant with a high-quality thumbhole stock with soft elastomer inserts. The gun is suitable for both hunting and the shooting range and comes with a sub-MOA  accuracy guarantee from the manufacturer.
CZ 600+ Alpha: The versatile rifle with semi-light barrel is characterised by its universal stock made of weather-resistant polymer and an integrated Weaver rail for optic mounting. This makes the new CZ 600+ Alpha ideal for everyday use on the hunting ground.
CZ 600+ American: The rifle in the classic style of an American hunting rifle with a slim barrel profile comes with a high-quality stock made of Turkish walnut and embellished with a discreet fleur-de-lis motif. The steel receiver is based on the geometry of the Remington 700, which should provide plenty of options in terms of mounts from the aftermarket segment.
CZ 600+ Range: This rifle is particularly suitable for accurate shooting at medium to long ranges. The robust and torsion-resistant laminated wood stock has an adjustable cheek piece. The steel receiver is fitted with a heavy barrel, which is designed to ensure an accuracy of less than 0.75 MOA.
CZ 600+ Trail: In this compact model version, CZ borrows from the tactical sector. The folding stock is reminiscent of modern personal defence weapons (PDWs). The manufacturer has also taken inspiration from the CZ BREN 2 when it comes to the controls and has made sure that AR-15 and CZ BREN 2-compatible magazines can be used with the Trail. The accuracy guarantee here is within the 2 MOA mark.
CZ 600+ MDT Grey: The sporty precision rifle was designed especially for PRS competitions. The rifle, which comes with a 10-round magazine, takes its name from the MDT CCS stock fitted here and its light grey Cerakote finish. Thanks to the heavy barrel, CZ promises an accuracy of less than 0.75 MOA for 5-shot groups with match ammunition.
CZ 600+ MDT Deep Bronze: The top model in the current CZ 600+ series for professional and ambitious PRS shooters has a multi-adjustable MDT SRS stock with a durable Cerakote Deep Bronze coating. A three-chamber muzzle brake is fitted as standard on the quick-change match barrel with heavy-barrel contour. The 10-round magazine is AICS-compatible.
