The Adler AD-500 rifle in .308 Winchester
In this article we present the AD-500, an entry-level semi-automatic rifle suitable as a first purchase. It is ideal for those approaching wild boar hunting but without too large a budget. Chambered for the all-rounder .308 Winchester cartridge, it features a gas-operated system and is compact and handy, thanks to its 51-cm long barrel. Fed from a double-stack magazine with a capacity of 5/10 cartridges, the Adler AD-500 is offered in different stock configurations, which for all models is a pistol stock: ranging from the classic wooden model to three variants of the polymer one, respectively in dark grey, black and camo.
The sights consist of an adjustable rear notch and a fron sight with a high-visibility fiber optic insert. A Picatinny rail mounted on top of the receiver (which is made of light alloy) allows for any type of optical or electronic scope to be mounted. The overall weight of the Adler AD-500 rifle is 3,400 kilograms. What makes the Adler AD-500 rifle particularly attractive is its particularly affordable retail price which for the basic model is around $1,000, or 850 euros.
