+++ Update +++ HIKMICRO is expanding the Lynx 3.0 series with new 35-mm models featuring a 640-pixel sensor and is equipping one variant with a laser rangefinder
HIKMICRO is expanding its Lynx 3.0 series and adding two new models, the LQ35 3.0 and LQ35L 3.0, to its existing lineup. While the previously introduced Lynx 3.0 series comprised six models with sensor resolutions of 256 x 192, 320 x 240, and 384 x 288 pixels, the two new additions now feature a 12-µm sensor with a resolution of 640 x 512 pixels. With this, HIKMICRO is expanding the compact Lynx 3.0 series into a higher performance class at the top end. Both new devices use a 35-mm lens and, according to the manufacturer, are designed for a detection range of 1,800 meters. In terms of range alone, the new models thus match the previous top-of-the-line model, the LH35 3.0, but rank above it due to their higher sensor resolution.
The “novelty of novelties” within the series is the LQ35L 3.0. It is the first Lynx 3.0 model with an integrated rangefinder, which is specified to have a range of up to 1,000 meters. The more affordable LQ35 3.0, on the other hand, does not come with a laser rangefinder.

Of course, all the familiar features of previous Lynx 3.0 devices are also included in the new models. These include, among other things, the replaceable 18650 batteries, the shutterless system, and the Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro image functions. In addition, HIKMICRO states that both new models feature a lightweight, compact housing: according to the manufacturer, the LQ35 3.0 weighs 365 grams, while the LQ35L 3.0 with laser rangefinder weighs 410 grams.
As expected, HIKMICRO has positioned the two new additions above its existing Lynx 3.0 models in terms of price. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is €1,649 for the LQ35 3.0 and €1,899 for the LQ35L 3.0. The LQ35 3.0 is expected to be available starting in late March 2026, and the LQ35L 3.0, according to current plans, starting in early May 2026.
The HIKMICRO Lynx 3.0 series
HIKMICRO has firmly established its position at the top of hunting electro optics, thanks in part to the popularity and success of its entry-level Lynx monocular — the most compact thermal imaging hand held observation scope offered by the Asian manufacturer — through its various versions and generations up to the Lynx 2.0. Now, HIKMICRO presents the new generation of this thermal imaging monocular scope line: the Lynx 3.0.

The range includes six models based on three Focal Plane Array VOx sensors with resolutions of 256x192, 320x240, and 384x288 pixels, and five objective lens focal lengths from 9.7 to 35 mm. All Lynx 3.0 thermal optics share HIKMicro’s core proprietary technologies, such as AI-enhanced Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro algorithms (except for the LE10 model), a fast 50 Hz frame rate, and the Shutterless Image System (HSIS) that eliminates the annoying image freeze during calibration typical of most hand held thermal imagers.
The range of optics also feature a standard set of advanced functions including audio/video recording on an integrated 64 GB EMMC memory and Wi-Fi connectivity. Naturally, all Linx 3.0 monoculars offer a fixed native optical magnification, with digital zoom.
The Lynx 3.0 series is truly pocket-sized — dimensions start at approximately 158x54x50 mm, with a weight of around 330 grams including the battery. They are powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion 18650 cell, providing up to 4.5 hours of use at -20°C.
The six HIKMicro thermal monocular models in the Linx 3.0 range
- LE10: 256x192 sensor, NETD < 20 mK, 9.7 mm focal length
- LE15: 256x192 sensor, NETD < 20 mK, 15 mm focal length
- LH15: 320x240 sensor, NETD < 18 mK, 15 mm focal length
- LH19: 384x288 sensor, NETD < 15 mK, 19 mm focal length
- LH25: 384x288 sensor, NETD < 15 mK, 25 mm focal length
- LH35: 384x288 sensor, NETD < 15 mK, 35 mm focal length

Beyond the sensor and lens, the various models also differ in the quality of their AMOLED microdisplays inside the eyepiece: the LE and LH15 versions feature a 1024×768 resolution and 0.39” display, while the LH19, LH25, and LH35 use a larger 1920×1080, 0.49” display.
The housing of the Lynx 3.0 optics is rugged and IP67-certified, an important reassurance for hunters, given the tough conditions hunting equipment often endures. All this is offered at a recommended price starting below 500 euros — an unprecedented value for this level of thermal performance and within reach of anyone seriously interested in hunting activities.
