IWA OutdoorClassics was held at Nuremberg from 6 to 9 March 2015. The trade fair continues to grow annually, and
this year’s figures exceeded the record set last year. The numbers for 2015:
1383 exhibitors and over 41,748 industry visitors from all over the world. The Enforce
Tac 2015 also set a new record. Here are the facts and figures from all4shooters.com
Even in its 42nd year, the organisers of IWA OutdoorClassics can look back on a good four percent growth in the number of exhibitors. The fair had spread into its ninth hall in 2014, and hence this year’s show offered space for 1383 exhibitors (2014: 1336) keen to present their latest products to the total of 41,000 industry visitors from all over the world.
The fair is becoming increasingly international
of the companies exhibiting in Nuremberg did not hail from Germany. Apart from
the host country, the largest exhibitor nations in descending order were the
USA, Italy, the United Kingdom, Turkey, China, France, the Czech Republic,
Spain and Austria.
Visitor figures at IWA 2015: 41.726 – 6,4% more than last year
The organisers of this year’s IWA OutdoorClassics were absolutely thrilled at the quality of industry visitors, but even the numbers alone were excellent: The IWA OutdoorClassics 2015 set yet another record, welcoming over 41.726 industry visitors from over 123 countries, which represents growth of roughly 6,4 percent (2014: 39,244 industry visitors*).
The New Product Center, one of last year’s additions, offered both new and renowned companies the opportunity to present their products directly in the central lobby area. The firms included the outdoor experts from Haglöfs, X-Bionic, Helsport and Dachstein, as well as two of the world’s largest fishing equipment manufacturers: D.A.M. Neue Deutsche Angelgeräte Manufaktur from Germany and Fladen Fishing from Sweden.
We were extremely impressed by the new Hall 7a, which boasts extremely high ceilings and daylight. One of the highlights there was the brand-new stand by UMAREX/WALTHER.
A comparison with the visitor figures at SHOT Show 2015:
The figure here is 64,000 visitors, but this year’s SHOT Show did not feature a rise in visitor numbers compared to last year. Although the interest in weapons on the US market remains unabated and continues to grow, the real boom in sales is gradually subsiding.
The IWA is and will remain the leading fair for weapons, ammunition and outdoor equipment in Europe, registering substantially larger numbers of visitors than the new HIT fair in Italy. We look forward to even more new and modern halls that the Nuremberg Convention Center has promised for 2016. Then, nothing can get in the way of a successful IWA 2016.
Tac 2015: The meeting place for law enforcement and government agencies
Enforce Tac, International Exhibition & Conference – Law Enforcement, Security and Tactical Solutions – was held on Wednesday and Thursday last week. Its fourth year featured 123 exhibitors, or 60 percent more than 2014 (2014: 78 exhibitors).
The show welcomed 2069 government security experts
from over 50 countries.

RUAG Ammotec put on the 3rd IWA Shooting Day 24 hours before IWA 2015 opened its doors:
This was the first time that the IWA Shooting Day, held on 5 March 2015, was held over an entire day. The brands RWS, ROTTWEIL, GECO, NORMA, BLASER, SAUER, MAUSER, ZEISS, KAHLES and HÄRKILA had invited 40 journalists to put the latest products through their paces in the highly professional facilities and shooting ranges at RUAG Ammotec in Fürth, on the day before the fair was scheduled to start.
Another new feature in 2015: the participating companies presented their products in a large tepee before the participants were invited to give them a spin. The international team at all4shooters.com was there for you, reporting live and on the ground to provide you with a slew of information and quite a few videos (see link below).
