Sabatti TLD: modified version for Long Range Shooting and Hunting

The new action of the Sabatti TLD is not an adaptation from other hunting rifles actions but it's been specially designed for sports shooting. However, its use for hunting is also possible and expected, since all the qualities that make it a valid competition tool are also good for hunting.

Features of the new Sabatti TLD

The TLD receiver "floats" above the stock by means of a front V-shaped block which also acts as a recoil lug and on a round rear housing, so as to eliminate any coupling tension in order to obtain beneficial effects on the shooting accuracy. This action can be defined as "suspended".

The new action, obtained for milling and turning from solid steel, features three locking lugs for a fast opening at 60°.

The new extractor also ensures constant support for the cartridge base case housed in the bolt head. The bolt itself is chrome lined to prevent oxidation and wear due to sliding in the receiver. The chrome lining and the very low roughness of the sliding surfaces generate a high fluidity: this last feature is paramount, because it increases the repetition speed but also produces less stress to the shooter during competitions.

The cold hammer forged barrels have the tested Multi-Radial Rifling synonymous with accuracy and reliability thanks to the performances it is able to offer. Match trigger is available with three levers or new double-stage type.

Stock is in a new Italian multilayer laminated material, which further improves the performance of the weapon. Its shape is more suited to sport competitions, reproducing the outlines of the stocks used for "F-Class" competitions.

The Sabatti TLD will be available in 6,5x47 Lapua, .308 Win. and .300 WSM starting the end of January 2018 at the approximate price of 1,900 euro.
