The DIANA 56 Target Hunter is the flagship product of DIANA's air rifles with side-cocking system. Thereby the airgun allows recoilless shooting for perfect precision. DIANA is one of the major German quality brands that has convinced air rifle shooters with its high-end-products for many years.
First of all: The DIANA 56 Target Hunter is a worth recommendation. It is the best spring-piston air rifle, which I have shot so far. You will learn something about the technology in the video and witness the extraordinary performance of the DIANA 56 Target Hunter in the shooting test.
Technology of the air rifle DIANA 56 Target Hunter
The high-end air rifle features a fixed barrel and a thumbhole stock of beech wood with an adjustable butt plate. In addition, the fine checkering on the front-stock and pistol grip underscores the beautiful design of the weapon. The attached 11 mm dovetail rail makes it possible to mount very large riflescopes easily.
The match type metal-trigger T06 is versatile adjustable. It offers thus many configuration options according to the shooters personal preferences. Moreover, the trigger is equipped with an automatic safety catch that has to be unlocked before each shot. Black is the colour used for the mat metal surface. In contrast to its sister-model – DIANA 54 AirKing – the DIANA 56 Target Hunter comes generally without open sights.

Conclusion for the DIANA 56 Target Hunter air rifle
Intended purpose: The air rifle is suitable for field target as well as recreational shooters who value high quality. Several extensive shooting tests have formed my opinion on this airgun. To summarise, the DIANA 56 Target Hunter is among the best air rifles that I have tested so far. However, when freehand shooting the shooter needs a bit of fitness to be able to hold the airgun over a longer period.
I am absolutely convinced of the recoilless shooting and the feel of the rifle stock. In fact, the DIANA 56 Target Hunter offers an ergonomic design and perfect precision. The air rifle cuts a good figure everywhere – benchrest shooting as well as freehand shooting.
I have shot the 56 Target Hunter with JBS Exact 4.52 mm diabolos and the DIANA Bullseye 6-24x44 riflescope during the test. As you can see in the video, I was able to achieve excellent results with this setup.
