From handguns to heavy machine guns: FN Herstal is one of the leading manufacturers of small arms. Military, police and security forces are convinced of the high-quality and innovative products of this world-renowned manufacturer. At the forthcoming MILIPOL 2017 in Paris, this defense contractor will now introduce the newest member of its proven FN SCAR (Special Operations Combat Assault Rifle) range: the subcompact FNA SCAR-SC carbine in 5.56 x 45 mm NATO.
MILIPOL is one of the most important trade fairs for military, police, security agencies and security professionals. It takes place every 2 years in Paris – this time from 21 to 24 November 2017.
What distinguishes the FN SCAR-SC subcompact carbine?

The FN SCAR product family has a long tradition with American special forces. The range includes the FN SCAR-L (5.56 x 45 mm NATO) and FN SCAR-H (7.62 x 51 mm NATO) assault rifles with interchangeable barrels, the FN SCAR-H PR precision rifle and the FN SCAR grenade launcher (under-barrel or stand-alone).
Now comes the new FN SCAR-SC subcompact carbine.
By the way, at the beginning of the year the Belgian defense company already surprised at the EnforceTac 2017 with innovative solutions for its modern weapon systems.

Specially designed for flexibility and mobility, the FN SCAR-SC in 5.56 x 45 mm NATO is ideal for close-range security. Especially nowadays, police and personal protection specialists in particular appreciate powerful weapons with the smallest dimensions.
The standard version of the indirect short-stroke, gas operated rifle with rotating bolt and 7.5 inch (190 mm) barrel length is equipped with a telescopic stock. But there are also optional fixed, fold-down and length- and height-adjustable stock as well as an angled stock with a concave and convex butt. The latter is intended for combined use with a ballistic helmet.
The FN SCAR-SC subcompact carbine is available in 2 versions: a semi-automatic version or with a selective fire selector and non-reciprocating cocking handle. In addition, there is a variety of additional equipment such as red dot sights, weapon lights, silencers and vertical front grips. This extremely compact weapon with a theoretical fire rate of 550 to 650 rounds per minute weighs 3,150 g when empty. It is fed with typical 30-round magazines. When the stock is retracted, the total length is 536 mm. With the standard telescopic stock extended, it is 653 mm.
