
Eurosatory, the international land and airland Defence and Security exhibition that takes place near Paris (France) every two years, will open on Monday 11th thru Friday 15th.
As usual, it will be the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte to host the event, that in 2016 saw 1,571 exhibitors and more than 57,000 visitors on 167,217 sqm of exhibition. For this year’s edition, more than 1,650 exhibitors registered. Among them, “big names” such as Airbus, BAE Systems, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Rheinmetall, Ruag.

Originally created in 1967, Eurosatory brings together the biggest worldwide players of the defense industries, that will showcase their new products and developments.
Eurosatory also offers to exhibitors and visitors various services in order to help them to develop their commercial opportunities. Prime contractors and subcontractors, buyers and suppliers, “majors” (large industrial groups) and SMEs gather at Eurosatory, because here exhibitors can promote their products and visitors can stay aware about the latest evolutions.
New equipment, technologies and weapon systems will be presented through live demonstrations, with exchanges of views about the evolution of Defence and Security and conferences.

Just to give an idea, in 2016 10% of visitors were chairmen, CEOs, or members of their company’s board; 212 Official Delegations attended, including 821 VIPs, with 13 ministers, 30 vice-ministers and secretaries of State, 18 chiefs of staff and 26 national armament directors from 140 countries.
Eurosatory is also the largest meeting for journalists specialising in Defence and Security. The 2016 edition registered 80 media partners from 119 magazines with 713 journalists from 429 media.
Eurosatory: what’s new for 2018
The 2018 edition will see some changes and additions to the show: first of all the opening of a new hall and the moving of the live demonstrations area.
With more than 11 000 sqm the new 5B hall completes the indoor exhibition area of Eurosatory. Live demonstrations will move to an area to the north of hall 5B, closer to the exhibiting halls so that everybody will be able to reach there on foot. The French Army, French Police, Special Operations Command, the Intervention Group of the Gendarmerie Nationale, the Research and Intervention Brigade, the Paris Fire Brigade will take part to demonstrations.
Moreover, for 2018 edition, an all-new Start-Up area called Eurosatory LAB has been created and dedicated to international start-ups in Defence & Security domain. Up to 70 ground-breaking start-up companies will be selected to exhibit. Lastly, more than 70 conferences are planned for Eurosatory 2018, that will also offer an all-new BtoB meetings program.
