Pedersoli Howdah .45 Long Colt - .410

Pedersoli’s replica is characterised first and foremost by 10-inch (256-mm) 6-groove riffled barrels with a 900-mm twist. The special cartridge chamber enables the .45 Long Colt and .410 (36 Magnum) calibres to be used interchangeably.

Features of the Pedersoli Howdah .45 Long Colt pistol

The Howdah’s action is forged from a solid block and fitted with manual extractors and automatic safety on the hammers.

This fascinating pistol is 422 mm long and weighs 1.8 kg. The tortoiseshell finish on the receiver is complemented by the oil-finished walnut stock.

An unusual firing position with the Pedersoli Howdah .45 LC calibre/.410.

The semi-beavertail forend makes the pistol easy to aim and grip without your hand getting in the way of your line of sight.

The aiming system comprises a rear sight with a raised rib and a brass bead front sight.

This video was filmed at the Valle Duppo shooting range in Lodrino, just a few miles from Pedersoli’s headquarters, where we tested the Pedersoli Howdah against a few plinking targets. Don’t forget: shooting is fun!
