With remarkable timing, and a couple of months before the SHOT Show, Kimber has already introduced and made available a variety of new products for 2019: a full new line of striker-fired subcompact pistols, the addition of double/single action models to the K6 revolver line-up and 3 new versions in the Micro 9 pistol series.
EVO SP, a new family of pistols

Firstly, the new striker-fired pistols. The 9mm, all-metal EVO SP is Kimber’s proposal for a carry gun. Four models are offered in this initial release: Custom Shop, CDP, TLE, and Two-Tone. An innovative grip system that eliminates hardware on the grip surface, a magazine release that can be configured for right or left-handed shooters, a striker indicator that allows for both a visual and physical confirmation the striker is cocked, disassembly with no trigger press, ledged tritium night sights and a 6-7lb trigger with crisp reset are the most prominent features. Price range is from 856 USD up to 1047.

To tease revolver fans, Kimber introduced six new models, including two hammered models. In particular, K6s DASA is the first double/single action revolver variant offered by Kimber. Available in two different models with 3 inch and 2 inch barrel, both chambered in .357 Magnum, the six-shot K6s DASA revolvers feature smooth no stack double (9.5-10lb) and single (3-3.5lb) action trigger, white 3-dot sights, knurled hammer spur, serrated backstrap, and checkered laminate walnut grips. Pricetag of theK6s DASA revolver is 970 USD, irrespective of barrel length. Besides this, TLE finish is now available in the K6s platform and Crimson Trace Lasergrips models are now available in the DC and CDP finishes.
New additions to the Micro 9 pistol include the ESV (Black) and ESV (Gray) models. These 9mm guns sport Titanium Nitride (TiN) finish on the Black version and rose copper Titanium CarboNitride (TiCN) finish on the Gray one. Hogue G-mascus grips, fiber optics sights, and hexagonal serrations are other interesting details. The ported slides are a nice aestehtic touch – barrels are not ported. Recommended price for both is 799 USD.
