New for 2018, CZ introduces a variant of its P-07 polymer pistol with an OD green-colored frame. The CZ P-07, a compact DA/SA pistol with the same features of the larger P-09, first saw the light back in 2009, being the first handgun to feature the convertible Omega trigger system. The Omega system allows full trigger disassembly and reassembly so that it’s possible to choose either a manual safety or decocking. This way users can carry the pistol cocked and locked like a 1911 or decocked for a double-action first pull of the trigger. The swapping takes just a few minutes and no gunsmithing experience or tools.
The P-07 is designed as a service weapon and for concealed carry. It can be chambered in 9mm or in .40 S&W, with a 15+1 capacity in 9mm and 12+1 in .40. This capacity could be further increased to 17 and 15 rounds, respectively, using the magazine extensions that are also part of the package. In 2014 the P-07 already received a facelift, removing any sharp edges and adding forward cocking serrations and interchangeable backstraps. Now CZ succumbs to the trend of colored polymer frames giving its product an OD green look.
CZ P-07 OD Green is already available
Frame is a glassfibre-reinforced polymer, and slide and barrel have a nitride finish. Three interchangeable backstraps are provided, enabling the weapon to be adapted to the ergonomics and needs of the user. Sights are metal luminescent tritium for a quick target acquisition in any light condition. Optical fibre sights are available as an option. The Czech pistol also sports a Picatinny rail on the dustcover for mounting a light or a laser. The P-07 is shipped with ambidextrous decockers installed but can be easily converted to ambidextrous manual safety with the supplied parts and accessories.
The CZ P-07 OD Green in 9mm is already available and its suggested price is 539 USD / 439 euro (excl. tax).
