Cabot Guns advertises its products as “One-of-a-kind works of art”. At the SHOT Show 2018 the Pennsylvania (USA) based Company shows its line-up of high-end, 1911-style pistols. New for 2018 are “The Icon” and “The Gentleman's Carry” models, both available in 9mm Luger or .45 ACP. Cabot Guns guarantees its Collector Class pistol fit between frames and slides is exactly 0.001 inches or less, claiming to work in tolerances of 20,000,000th of an inch. They also produce striking and extraordinary “one of a kind” custom handguns like “The Sixth Commandment”, a pistol with the words “Thou Shalt Not Kill” engraved across the slide, or “The Time Traveler” showcased at the SHOT Show: a 1911 with components such as grips, triggers, sights crafted from a 4.5 billion year old meteorite.
Among Cabot Guns’ testimonials, the 2017 NRA Pistol Champion Jon Shue and the American actor and director Joe Mantegna of “Criminal Minds” series fame.
Cabot Guns - 1911-style pistol “The Icon”
Entirely made from a block of USA sourced 416 stainless steel with components constructed to aerospace standards tolerances, the Icon transfuse pure elegance into the classic 1911's platform with an extreme attention to details.
The Icon sports subtle niceties – technical and aesthetic alike – such as a countersunk and recessed slide stop notch, an aluminum trigger, a lowered and flared ejection port, a unique rhombus cut front strap checkering, a beveled magwell and stainless steel monochrome grips.
The Icon is shipped with two 8-round magazines. The Icon is available in full “Government” size or the more compact “Commander” size.

Cabot Guns – 1911-style pistol "The Gentleman’s Carry"
The “Gentleman’s Carry”, as the name implies, is a luxurious handgun with very classic double diamond checkered walnut grips, adorned with the unmistakable Cabot medallion. The frame is a “bobtail cut” type.
Finish is a sober all-black matte, in what the Manufacturer advertises as “the perfect balance of classic beauty and modern design” for a precision 1911 carry.
It’s constructed from a USA sourced 416 stainless steel billet and among its features, the tritium front and rear sights, a hand polished feed ramp, and a 4.25 inch / 108 mm flushed and recessed crowned barrel stand out. Trigger is aluminum.
Like the Icon, the Gentleman’s Carry has a fine rhombus cut front strap and main spring housing checkering. The pistol is shipped with two magazines.
