First showcased at the 2014 EUROSATORY expo in Paris, and then again seen at the 2015 IWA expo in Germany, the REX Zero1 “Standard” semi-automatic SA/DA hammer-fired pistol, manufactured in Slovenia by AREX d.o.o., debuts at the 2016 SHOT Show through its north American importer, the FIME Group.

Patterned after the popular SIG Sauer design, the REX Zero1 “Standard” is nothing like your average cheap knock-off: the hard-anodized T7075 aluminum frame is machined from a solid bar stock and features steel locking block insert; similarly, the nitrocarburized steel slide is made from a solid bar stock, and so is the one-piece cold-hammer forged and nitrocarburized barrel.

The AREX REX Zero1 “Standard” pistol sports front and rear slide serrations, totally drift-adjustable sights and ambidextrous safety lever and magazine release – the decocking and takedown levers are still located only on the left side of the frame – as well as a true SA/DA action and a double-stack magazine holding 15, 18 or 20 rounds of 9x19mm ammunition.
