Umarex is german manufacturer renowed mostly for its air guns and softair replicas, but its product catalogue is really quite big, including a large number of knives and other cutting tools.
At the IWA Outdoor 2016 trade show Umarex introduced an impressive number of new products in the Knives and Tools line. First of all the Alpina Sport Line dedicated to trekking, hiking and mountaineering enthusiasts. Alpina Sport line includes some fixed and folding knives, a multi tool and some other cutting tools (axe, saw, machete) featuring a plastic handle with rubber inserts and a black/blaze orange colour pattern. Into the same line, the Ancho is a scandinavian style fixed blade knife with plastic sheath and handle avalilable in black, green and orange colour.
The Elite Force line sports a darker and more tactical look & feel, and comprehends the EF140 model, a double edge folding dagger and two knives, EF 140 (folding) and EF 10 (integral fixed blade) featuring a similar design, with a 440 C spearpoint blade and plastic handle.
Also new are the EDK folding knife with 75 mm (3”) drop point blade and the Karambit Defense Knife, a self defense folding knife with a really intimidating serrated claw blade.
Walther Pro Ceramic is a lightweigt (92 grams) pocket folder with 66 millimeters drop point ceramic blade and rubber coated plastic handle.
In the Walther Pro line the SOK (Spring Operated Knife) is a folder with spring operated blade opening. The Survival Folder Pro is a medium size folder with 85 mm blade featuring a saw, a knife sharpener and a fire starter inside the handle.
Also in the Walther line, the XTC (X-tra Large Tactical Knife) is a big integral knife with 210 mm (8,2”) blade, ergonomic grip design. It comes with universal sheath for left- and right-handed users.
Umarex introduced also some cutting tools: the Walther Matchtac III is an hi-tec style machete with a 473 mm (18,5”) customary blade and an overall lenght of 767 mm (30”). MFAI is a multifunctional axe with carbon steel head and plastic, partly rubber-coated handle. Last but not least, Umarex introduced a Compact Knife Sharpener with two sharpening notches, 50º angle for Outdoor knives and 34º angle for fine blades.
