The 2017 Shot Show – the eagerly awaited mega-event in the firearms industry – will begin in just few days! This year, the 39th edition of the world’s most important
hunting, sporting and Law Enforcement firearms fair will be held from 17 to 20 of January. And it will be hosted for the seventh time at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA.
This sprawling complex at the heart of Las Vegas offers 2,500,000 square feet of exhibition space, making it the second largest of its kind worldwide. The 2017 SHOT Show is set to fill the Sands Expo & Convention Center to the rafters. Over 64,000 registered professional visitors attended the weapons fair last year.
A unique occasion spread over four days, this unparalleled, leading trade fair is organized and managed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) – the industry’s umbrella association in the US. As the name SHOT Show suggests, the shooting, hunting, outdoor & trade fair focuses mainly on weapons, ammunition and accessories for hunters and sports shooters. What’s more, recent years have seen the SHOT Show become increasingly important for companies that manufacture weapons, ammunition and accessories specifically for the military and law enforcement sectors, which now occupy their own, highly specialized exhibition areas.
Facts and Figures on the 2017 SHOT Show
Over 1,600 exhibitors are expected at the 2017 SHOT Show, representing a cross-section of the most important names in the international arms industry alongside many smaller companies. Will GLOCK add to its range of innovative polymer pistols; might Heckler & Koch release a handgun fresh from its assembly lines; and is ZEISS planning spanking new optics? These are, of course, just a few examples. Dealers, international media representatives and interested audiences worldwide usually find their answers first and exclusively from the SHOT Show .
More than 2,500 media representatives are invited to this year’s SHOT Show. The tickets have been sold-out for weeks, as have the places for the 11th Industry Day at the Range – held on the eve of the SHOT Show’s official start. The event lets experts and journalists take a first look at the most important and hotly anticipated new products and put them through their paces in live fire settings on the Boulder City Shooting Range.
It goes without saying that the team from all4shooters.com will also be on the ground at the Industry Day at the Range to report on the latest innovations. The SHOT Show is an industry meet and is therefore not open to the general public. Only exhibitors, accredited media representatives and qualified, registered professional visitors are eligible to attend. Naturally, the last group mainly includes international dealers and wholesalers.
