Pulsar releases the all-new Stream Vision 2 (beta) app

Pulsar built a well-deserved reputation for the features and quality of its thermal imaging devices, adding considerable value with the proprietary but freely available Stream Vision app. This software companion allows owners of most of the European manufacturer’s thermal imaging optical devices, monoculars, binoculars, riflescopes, and add-on image converters with built-in wifi support, to remotely control and manage them from Android or iOS smartphone and tablets

It is, after all, one if not the most advanced free thermal imaging applications on the market – and it’s exclusively available to Pulsar optics owners. Initially the Stream Vision technology mainly allowed video streaming from select Pulsar optics to the connected device, showing what the optic displays in the eyepiece, record still and video, share these on Social Media, and remotely control and manage the device.

Today, Pulsar releases Version 2 (beta) of the Stream Vision app, allowing owners of the newest enabled Thermal Imaging and Digital Night Vision optics form Pulsar and Yukon to take full remote control of them when paired with an Android or iOS device through their Wi-Fi connection. They will be able to use a phone or a tablet as a file viewer, viewfinder, and remote controller to change the settings and update the firmware of their Pulsar or Yukon device. Stream Vision 2 (beta)features a redesigned and more modern user interface, for an improved user experience.

Users who register their device will also get access to Stream Vision 2 (beta) Cloud which offers up to 16GB of free storage for user recorded images and videos. The updated app allows many owners of Pulsar products to use the devices in a more creative manner, such as monitoring from a distance the view from the device used by a hunter, on a smartphone by another hunter. Or, mounting an optical device near animal feeding sites, to watch the game in real-time on a smart device at a distance. All photos and videos can be stored on cloud and shared on social networks.

It is important to note that Stream Vision 2 (beta) will not replace the previous release of the app, and this is because not all Pulsar electro optical devices are supported. At this time, the following products are NOT supported, but can be still used with the latest version of Stream Vision 1:
