Benelli presents the Super Black Eagle 3 shotgun

Not too long ago, American shooters hunting duck in the damp American wetlands would choose 12-gauge Magnum pump-action shotguns and nothing else, as it was their firm belief that the wetlands were too harsh an environment for semiautomatic shotguns to provide reliable service. Benelli changed all that with its Super Black Eagle semiautomatic, and from that day on, hunters have never looked back.

Twenty-six years later, this is the third version of the semiautomatic, bringing ergonomics, reliability and style to levels only dreamed of before. This is the Super Black Eagle 3.

Features of the Benelli Super Black Eagle 3

The new Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 combines dozens of new features, improving the aesthetic qualities and reliability of the gun while making it even easier to handle. At the heart of the Super Black Eagle lies the SBE3 inertia-driven action, which has been further improved to guarantee that the bolt will close precisely every time, even in the case of heavy-handed use by the shooter. All the parts you might have to use with your hands are oversized so they can be used easily when wearing gloves, which is often the case on those cold mornings in the wetlands.

There are dozens of new features and enhancements that improve the way the shotgun looks, feels and performs. At the heart of the new SBE3 is the inertia-driven action, which is centred around an Easy Locking System – an enhanced breech-closing system that eliminates the possibility for a shooter-induced stoppage when trying to softly close the bolt or when the shotgun is treated roughly in the blind. And because hardcore waterfowl hunters don’t stay out of the field in frigid weather, the new SBE3 is designed for easier operation with gloved and/or cold hands. The bolt handle, the button that closes it, the safety, loading and ejection ports are large enough not to have to fiddle with, without looking too big.

The stock can easily be adapted to the shooter’s physical requirements by using a shim kit for up to eight different cast and drop configurations. The forend has been redesigned too, making the gun even easier to aim.

The rest of the stock has also been redesigned to enhance the effectiveness of the ComforTech internal recoil reduction system and the Combtech butt plate, features that make this gun a joy to fire even with the most powerful of cartridges. Available in black, Realtree Max-5, Gore Optifade Timber and Mossy Oak Bottomlands camo, the new Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 is available with 26 or 28-inch Crio® barrels.
