An absolute debut for the Franchi Momentum bolt-action rifle, proposed in.243 Win., 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 and .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, .300 Winchester Magnum. The Momentum is available in three versions: with a threaded barrel for mounting silencers (where permitted), with a threaded barrel and a factory-fitted Burris scope and with a non-threaded barrel.
The most interesting feature of the Momentum is its synthetic stock that combines curves and checkering in strategic areas, offering a firm purchase in the most frequent shooting positions when hunting. The carrying strap swivel attachments are recessed and do not protrude from the stock.
The butt pad is the revolutionary Franchi TSA pad with gel inserts that reduces the feeling of recoil on the shoulder by 50 percent.
Franchi Momentum: other technical features
The barrel of the Momentum is made of cold-hammer-forged chrome-molybdenum steel. It’s free-floating to guarantee maximum precision.
The threaded barrel has a 5/8 x 24 thread protected by a knurled cover. The standard barrel length is 22 inches (56 cm) for all calibers except the 6.5 Creedmor and the .300 Win. Mag., for which the barrel measures 24 inches (61 cm). The Momentum safety is a two-position type and allows you to open the bolt when inserted. The single-stage trigger is adjustable from 900 to 1800 g.
The bolt body is lightened by the spiral fluting and has three locking lugs on the head. The bolt stroke is very short and the bolt throw is 60°. The magazine capacity is 4 + 1 cartridges (3 + 1 for the .300 Win.Mag.).
The Momentum is also available as a "combo" including Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 scope, a two-piece base and factory-installed Burris Zee Rings. The Momentum is designed to mount two-piece bases in the Remington 700 style.
The indicative price of the Franchi Momentum starts at 609 USD (around 490 euro) for the basic version, up to 729 USD (590 euro) for the combo version with threaded barrel and optics.
