Steiner Nighthunter 8x56 binoculars, more than just a hunting tool

Steiner Nighthunter 8x56 binoculars
The Steiner Nighthunter 8x56 binoculars are ideal for low light conditions, including twilight and night time

The Steiner Nighthunter concept goes back some 20 years ago. Add this to 70 years of optical development and innovation, and you'll have in your hands the latest iteration of Steiner’s binocular technology, the new Nighthunter 8x56.

The idea behind it is always the same: providing the ultimate tool to give hunters an edge during low light when visibility is poor.

The ability to determine your trophy no matter the darkness does not only means having extra minutes of prime hunting at the best times to spot game (early dawn, twilight, or by the light of the moon – where night hunting is allowed by the law, of course). It's also a matter of hunting ethics: if a hunter is unable to clearly identify the game and its surroundings, an ethical shot cannot be taken.

Steiner Nighthunter 8x56: features

Objective lenses of the Steiner Nighthunter 8x56 binoculars
The large 56mm objective lenses with Nano-Protection coating offer outstanding low light performance, with 96% light transmission and a twilight factor of 21.2.

With a light transmission factor that's more than 96%, Steiner can rightly claim that the Nighthunter 8x56 is the ultimate optic for night hunting. The larger objective allows in an even greater amount of light for superior clarity and contrast at dusk and dawn. Steiner's Sports-Auto-Focus system guarantees perfect focus all the time. You just have to focus each eyepiece to your vision once, and then you'll have sharp images from 20 meters to infinity. Field of View at 1000 m is a huge 135 m.  Ergo Flex eye cups protect your eyes from lateral light and wind.

Lenses are protected by Steiner's Nano-Protection that also ensures long-lasting optimal visual quality. The housing is made of rugged Makrolon plycarbonate with a NBR-Longlife rubber armoring that withstands the effects of oil, acid or other climatic influences, with floating prism mounting and nitrogen pressure infill. The binoculars are also waterproof up to 5 m.

They are quipped with a comfortable ClicLoc neoprene-carrying strap that keeps them hanging straight and action-ready with instant, push-button ease. They also sport LumiClips luminescent clips that glows with just enough light to easily locate your binoculars in the darkest night.
