The modern optical system of the BV 8x56 features multicoated lens elements that minimise reflections and ensure an increased light transmission and neutral colour rendition.
Roof prisms with phase correction coatings provide an image with excellent detail rendition and high contrast throughout all ambient condition including in unfavourable low-light. The slime-line roof prisms also enable a slime-line outer casing design protected by non-slip rubber armouring; all internals are protected by an innovative sealing technology.
The new BV 8x56 is water-proof to a pressure of 0.3 bar or comparable water depth of 3 meters. Nitrogen filling on the inside of the binoculars provides permanent corrosion protection and helps prevent fogging, even in the during severe temperature fluctuations.
Each new MINOX BV 8x56 includes a neoprene strap, eyepiece cap and an ever-ready case.
