You were certainly already in this situation: you have been sitting for game during the winter for hours or on a driven hunt – you often had to fight against the cold. Obviously the right clothes will help here, but the trigger finger remains cold. In the right moment, big winter gloves are not worn on the shooting hand to be ready to shoot.
If the game comes into sight you could miss because you jerked the trigger. Cold fingers mean that you do not shoot as well. Even doctors have confirmed that the sensitivity of the fingers is lost in cold weather conditions.
The prestigious German hunting rifle manufacturer SAUER creates a new chapter with the ERGO HEAT. World’s first pistol grip heating system for hunting rifles from SAUER is really a revolutionary invention.
The fingers of your shooting hand remain warm with the ERGO HEAT grip heating system. You can cleanly operate the trigger, even at below-zero temperatures. On a driven hunt, where you need to be quick, the ERGO HEAT is also a huge safety enhancement. The hunter can comfortably hold his SAUER rifle with a bare hand even in icy conditions and can shoot faster.
Operation and Specification of the SAUER ERGO HEAT Pistol Grip Heating System
The ERGO HEAT pistol grip heating system is only available in Classic XT, Synchro XT and Synchro XTC stocks of the hunting rifles S303 and S404 from SAUER. For new weapons only. A retrofitting is not available right now.
You can set 3 heating levels using the supplied remote control or via the free app. At the highest heating level, the ERGO HEAT maintains up to 30 °C difference to the ambient temperature. The rechargeable battery lasts for about 2 hours. At the lowest heating level even up to 7 hours. A subtle red LED light in the sling swivel shows the selected level by blinking.
Charging the integrated rechargeable battery in the stock is done using a power supply. It is simply plugged into the socket with the USB cable. You can plug it into any other USB port to charge the battery (USB port in the car or powerbank).
The accompanying SAUER ERGO HEAT app is available for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. The app is not a must have to control the pistol grip heating system. A manual remote control is included.
The SAUER ERGO HEAT pistol grip heating system increases the weight of the stock of the hunting rifle for only 76 g. Of course, the innovative world novelty is not included free of charge with every new S 303 or S 404. You have to expect an extra charge of 467 Euro for the XT stock and 545 Euro for the XTC stock to have no more cold fingers.
