BCM Europearms TactiScout bolt action rifle

Introduced at the IWA expo in Nuremberg by its manufacturing company – the Italian-based BCM Europearms company – the TactiScout bolt-action rifle was conceived mainly as a Police patrol rifle and as a survival rifle, but it's also aimed to other civilian and commercial markets, being particularly apt for sport shooting and several hunting specialties.

Designed around Jeff Cooper's concept of a “Scout Rifle”, BCM Europearms' new bolt-action rifle is available in both wooden stock and synthetic stock variants, with a long front-mounted MIL-STD-1913 “Picatinny” rail for optical sights, red dot sights, reflex sights, and other optoelectronic devices; iron sights are optional. The BCM Europearms TactiScout bolt-action rifle feeds through detachable magazines holding up to five rounds, although higher capacity magazines are available as an option.

The 18-inch barrel of the TactiScout rifle features BCM Europearms' own, patented flash hider design, as well as a multi-radial polygon rifling that provides superior stabilization for higher accuracy and longer range. As of now, the BCM Europearms TactiScout bolt-action rifle is available in two calibers – .308 Winchester (7,62x51mm) and .338 Federal. The suggested retail price only slightly exceeds the 1000€ threshold, making the BCM Europearms TactiScout an extremely intriguing alternative on the market.
