Cassidian (an EADS company) acquired a majority shareholding in what was previously Carl Zeiss Optronics GmbH from Carl Zeiss AG. Now, all products feature the “Hensoldt” logo, including the recently introduced 3.5-26x56FF long range telescoping riflescope (in the picture). This riflescope has been designed for extended magnification range and boasts an extremely high adjustment range; coupled with the very compact design and short overall length, only 37cm, thought to save rail real estate in front of the scope for compatibility with optical enhancers (thermal or IIT), the Hensoldt 3.5-26x56FF is intended for professional and military use only.
