From Ruger a SR1911 Officer-Style with stainless steel frame

Let's face it: it's hard for even the most inattentive gun-enthusiast to resist the charms of a 1911, especially if it's an Officer's model. The guys at Ruger know that, and they continue to add new models to their SR1911 family. Like the new SR1911 Officer-Style pistol with stainless steel frame: a nice little blaster chambered in .45 Auto, featuring a 3.60 in / 91 mm barrel and shortened grip frame that makes for an ideal concealment pistol. The most interesting feature is, of course, its steel frame. Compared to Ruger's SR1911 Lightweight Officer-Style, this new model retains in fact additional weight for better balance, lower recoil and greater durability.

Ruger SR1911 Officer-Style: all solid stainless steel

The Ruger SR1911 Officer-Style features a bushing-less stainless steel bull barrel.

The solid, hefty look of the all-stainless steel Ruger SR1911 Officer-Style inspires a certain degree of confidence.

Yet, with an overall length of 7.25 in / 184 mm and weighing at 31 oz / 878 g this gun is still definitely well-suited for concealed carry.

Frame and slide benefit from a low-glare finish. Grip panels are deluxe checkered G10. Backstrap is also checkered. The SR1911 Officer-Style is equipped with drift adjustable Novak 3-dot sights. Magazine capacity is 7+1.

Hammer and trigger are skeletonized, grips are G10.

The classic Series 70 design includes a rounded mainspring housing and an oversized beavertail grip safety. The bushing-less stainless steel bull barrel provides additional weight at the muzzle for improved recoil control, aided by a full length guide rod.

The skeletonized lightweight trigger is aluminum, with adjustable over-travel stop. Hammer is skeletonized too, coupled with a titanium firing pin for faster lock time.
