04/12/2017 - IWA 2017 / New from Česká Zbrojovka (CZ). The Czech manufacturer, following the introduction at the US Shot Show of its CZ P-10 C, presented this striker-fired semiautomatic pistol for the European market, on which it will be available at the end of 2017 chambered in 9x19mm and .40 S&W calibers
The 9mm CZ P-10 C semiautomatic pistol has been introduced at the IWA 2017 trade show in Nurnberg for the European market. In the words of the manufacturer, the CZ P-10 C is more than just a variation on the popular striker-fired pistol concept. Based on the same angle grip of the CZ75, and the P-07 general structure, the CZ P-10 C ergonomics feature a mild palm swell, deep beavertail and three interchangeable backstraps.
A generous trigger guard allows use with gloved hands while being undercut to allow as high a grip as possible.
The trigger breaks at 4-4.5 lbs with a very short reset. The frame is built of fiber-reinforced polymer and all metal parts are nitride finished for military class durability; the slide features a dovetailed set of metal tactical 3-dot sights. As all CZ pistols, the 4.02” long barrel is cold hammer forged. The ‘C’ in the P-10 name indicates that it is compact in both frame and slide size, and magazines are of the same family as the hammer-fired P-07, meaning the P-10 C holds 15+1 in 9mm in a flush-fitting mag with extended bases allowing 17+1 (12+1 in the .40 S&W version).
The CZ P-10 C will be also available in black and flat dark earth two tone, plus a version with a threaded barrel for suppressor use.
Although CZ showcased the 9mm CZ P-10 C at the recent IWA in Germany, for the moment this pistol will be only available in the USA for the local market, at a MSRP of $516 with two magazines; later in the year a .40 S&W version will become available. The availability of the CZ P-10 C in Germany and the rest of the European market pistol is planned for the last quarter of 2017.
