Titanium Strike and Titanium cartridges: new loads and features

Titanium Strike cartridges, packaging
Titanium Strike is a high velocity and performance load featuring nickel coated lead shot.

Engineered for the demanding clay shooter, Titanium Strike  is a high velocity and performance load, being loaded in 28-gram and 24-gram versions in shot size 7.5 Ni (2.4mm). The cartridge features nickel coated lead shot and also a high 25 mm nickel head brass for ease of ejection. The benefits of nickel are that it creates a protective coating around the shot reducing pellet deformation at initial ignition and during the travel down the barrel. Moreover, patterns are more uniform with fewer off-target pellets. The shot is also hardened by the application of an innovative alloy coating that increases the breaking power, especially the harder bio-degradable clays. Excellent shot string distribution, improved recoil reduction thanks to the cushioning effects and strong dense patterns at all ranges are guaranteed by the “A Type” plastic wad. Last but not least, the PSB +3 powders used by Eley Hawk are progressive slow burn powders which burn evenly and reduce recoil. The powders, that were engineered in-house, are also graded to burn consistently shot to shot thereby providing an even performance throughout a round of clays.

The same powders are used in the Titanium cartridge too, a high-velocity load in 28-gram shot size 7.5 (2.4 mm) and 8 (2.3mm). Being slightly larger than the standard shot sizes this gives the shooter extra breaking power. A 16mm nickel head provides a solid base for propelling the load and deliver a smooth cartridge ejection for the shooter. "A-Type" plastic and Kleena fibre wads provide clean barrels and intense patterns.
