Bianchi Wild Clearwater Rig

With so many CAS (Cowboy Action Shooting) disciplines now allowing the use of 1911-type pistols − definitely a homage to Sam Peckinpah's 1969 "end of an era" classic, The Wild Bunch − Bianchi International, a Safariland Group subsidiary and a leading producer of holsters and accessories for concealment, sporting, law enforcement and military markets for over 50 years, launches new for the year 2013 the model 1815 Wild Clearwater Rig, a special holster and belt combo to be used in Cowboy Action Shooting disciplines for 1911 pistol variants. A new addition to the Bianchi Cowboy line, the Wild Clearwater Rig is handcrafted of premium-grade, vegetable-tanned full-grain leather. The holster is lined with full-grain leather for a smooth and rapid draw, while the belt is suede-lined to maintain holster position on the waist.

«The Colt 1911 pistol is quickly becoming more popular in the cowboy shooting community», said James Dawson, Category Director for the Bianchi Brand. «Bianchi recognizes this growing market and developed the rapid-draw Clearwater rig to meet this demand».

The Model 1815H Wild Clearwater holster features an adjustable belt loop that allows for 35-degree forward or rearward cant allowing for a customized draw. Reinforced with corrosion-resistant steel and a full-length Sight Channel™ to help protect the front sights, this versatile holster can be adjusted for strongside or cross-draw carry. Additionally, it features a flared top for fast, instinctive re-holstering and heavy nylon thread for added strength. The Model 1815B belt is 2.25” (58 mm) wide with tapered ends and is offered with cartridge loops for .45 caliber rounds.

Made in the USA, the Wild Clearwater rig is available in Chestnut Tan with white stitching and Plain Black with black stitching. The belt is available with either a solid brass buckle in Chestnut Tan or a chrome-plated brass buckle in Plain Black. Available now, the Wild Clearwater Rig has an MSRP of $230.00 and is sold separately as belt and holster.
