Kahles Helia: The subdued natural color scheme was selected on purpose

Kahles from Huntramsdorf, Austria has more to offer than being the world-renown oldest riflescope manufacturer still in operation. They have spearheaded the development of target optics for many years and quality control on their innovative products is second to none. During the last years, their production has shifted to incorporate sustainable materials and utilizing renewable resources wherever possible.

At the current 2016 IWA Kahles introduces their novel Helia binoculars. We managed to get a sneak peak at them thanks to the 4th international RWS Shooting Day.

Kahles Helia: Up-to-date lens technology permits crystal clear pictures even in low light conditions

At a first glance, the Helia binoculars excel due to their ergonomics. The open bridge design allows for ease of handling of the lightweight device. But it is not just the ergonomics that makes these binoculars an ideal hunting companion. The earth-tone colors blend in well with the surroindings and the handmade leather-felt carrying strap is virtually noiseless, a feature valued every experienced hunter.

The novel lens technology employed in the Helia binoculars permits vividly colored images and great level of detail even at low light. Both maginifications available, 8 x 42 and 10 x 42, offer a great field of view. As it is standard with optics nowadays, the Kahles Helia binoculars are purged with dry nitrogen to prevent fogging.
